Dongshan Island Travel Guide, Attractions and Accommodation

Dongshan Island, located on the southern coast of Fujian, China, is the second largest island in Fujian Province. It has beautiful scenery and many TV series were filmed here. Dongshan Island is surrounded by the sea, with a wide view and unique natural conditions. It comes to visit all year round.

Dongshan Island

Dongshan Island, also known as Lingdao, is the second largest island in Fujian Province. It is located on the southern coast of Fujian Province, China and belongs to Dongshan County, Zhangzhou City, Fujian Province. The seventh largest island in China is located between Xiamen and Shantou, at the southern end of the Golden Triangle Economic Zone of Xiamen, Zhangzhou, and Quannan, bordering the Taiwan Strait to the east and Zhao'an Bay to the west. It is the intersection of the famous southern Fujian fishing grounds and eastern Guangdong fishing grounds in the southeast; there used to be a Bachi Gate seawall bordering Yunxiao County in the north, which was demolished in May 2014 and covers an area of ??220.18 square kilometers.

Attractions

Dongshan, a small island that grew up in a secret room, no one knew about her a few years ago, and most people first saw her through the screen. "Journey to the West", "Eight Immortals Crossing the Sea", "Whose Baby Am I" and other film and television works have been filmed here, but the time when people really dig into it is basically the 2015 Su Youpeng film "The Left Ear". How many people follow the plot of the movie and travel with "The Left Ear"? I am one of them. It seems that celebrity effect works.

The first stop is Su Fengshan:

The blue roundabout road and bridge, a new place for Internet celebrities to check in

With the hot weather on TikTok this year, another place on Dongshan Island One private place is known to the public and that is Su Feng Mountain. Of course, girls who love taking pictures can’t miss it. Xiamen has Huandao Road and Xiamen has Bay Park. Are all coastal cities named this way? Nothing new, hahaha. But many people don’t know that Dongshan Island is named after this mountain.

In fact, I think days facing the sea are particularly likely to breed romantic and artistic feelings. In Dongshan Island, the bridges are blue, the houses are colorful, and the sea is green. People living on Dongshan Island face the Pacific Ocean and inadvertently incorporate the colors of the sky and sea into their days.

The second stop is Nanmen Bay:

Half coast and half city, the fishing village has a completely new look.

The main location of the blockbuster "Left Ear" is in Nanmen Bay! What impressed me most was the scene where the heroine cried on the beach. Behind Nanmen Bay, there is the blue sea on one side and a quaint fishing village on the other.

Colorful houses and life facing the sea, I think the people who live here must be very warm. If I can't live here, then I will choose to rent a small electric donkey, blow the sea breeze, and shuttle through the colorful pictures. So beautiful.

The third stop, Ding Street:

An ancient street where you can enjoy the breeze along the way.

Don’t look down on this street. Dingjie is the official road of Ming and Qing Dynasties. Walking along this path will give you the feeling of being on a historical corridor. On both sides are unique buildings from the Ming and Qing Dynasties, ancient houses, temples, and former residences. Former residences of celebrities are common here. If you come to Tongling Town, Dongshan, you must not miss this quaint old street surrounded by mountains and sea. Walk into the old alley, touch the alleys with ancient gates, see the lazy Xiaomi Miao in the alleys, slow down and feel the island.

The fourth stop, Maluan Bay and Jinluan Bay:

Natural bathing beach, paradise on the sea.

When you come to Dongshan, you must see the sea. Maluan Bay and Jinluan Bay are popular recommendations. The "We Are Here" program hosted by Wang Han chose the Maluan Bay Sailing Training Base as an important filming location. In addition to flat beaches, clean water and good sheltered bays, there are also many interesting ocean experience projects, such as sailing, kite surfing, snorkeling, sand rafting, motor boats, speedboats, water bikes and more. Of course, you can also choose to swim here and have fun in the sea.

Accommodation

In Dongshan, the accommodation experience is also a kind of travel enjoyment. The houses here face the sea, and the scene of opening the door and entering the sea is constantly happening here. Are you a little envious? Do not envy. It's easy to stay here for a night. Enjoy the beautiful scenery here.

There are many apartments and B&Bs around Nanmen Bay and Maluan Bay, and there are many hotels and resorts near Jinluan Bay. You can choose according to your personal preferences, or you can book online, and the prices are affordable. If you want better comfort and a view, I would recommend Milan Spring where I stayed. The ocean views from the upper floors will not disappoint you.

Wanle Food Articles

As the saying goes, "Mountains are backed by mountains, and seas are backed by seas." There is Dongshan surrounded by the sea. You don't have to think about how new life is here. The seafood cooked here likes to be boiled. Try to keep the original flavor of the seafood. I ate a small piece of boiled pipe and felt the sweetness coming out of my mouth. Is it boiled small tubes, Dongshan nine-hole abalone, or local specialty steamed dumplings? Strongly recommend Xiao Ai to try it!

In addition to eating seafood, you can also go to the fishing rafts on the sea to experience the life of a fisherman for a day.

Just take a photo and dominate your circle of friends. In the sea fishing raft, you can fish in the sea, and the old fishermen will watch the turtles and play with the puffer fish. I used to know that pufferfish was inedible. When I first saw puffed puffer fish, it melted my old girl heart. Ah, I forgot to take a photo. Let's take a look.
