According to historical records, Wei Hui Temple in Zhangpu was founded in the fourth year of Kaiyuan in Tang Dynasty (7 16 AD), with a history of over 200 years. The temples in the Song Dynasty were large in scale. During the Hongzhi period of the Ming Dynasty, Zhangpu County ordered Wu Yun to rebuild it. "When the temple gate is a building, the three wings are on the left and connected with the west corridor", and the temple was changed to "Loyalty Hall" with carved beams and painted buildings, which is now resplendent and magnificent. In the thirty-third year of Jiajing in Ming Dynasty, Zhangpu County ordered Shen Meng to rebuild the gatehouse and put up a plaque with "Natural Pictures". In the first year of Wanli, Zhangpu County was rebuilt. In the early years of Qing Emperor Kangxi, Yi Cai Youzhou rebuilt.
In the 26th year of Emperor Kangxi of the Qing Dynasty, Zhangpu County ordered that it be rebuilt in the ocean, and changed into a mountain gate, a martyrs' hall and a harem, which entered the left and right wings, highlighting the courtyard-style layout with double eaves and no hall. There is a Sambo Buddhist Temple behind the temple (there are three monuments, namely the temple base and the Lotus Tower), and a Zen master presided over the Buddhist ceremony.
