Maoer Mountain is located in Guangxi Province in southwest my country. It is a very famous mountain. It is the birthplace of Zijiang River and Lijiang River. It has a relatively stable geographical structure and a very special climate and ecological environment. Let me share with you the Maoershan self-driving travel guide.

The Shenmaoding of Maoer Mountain in the National Nature Reserve is 2,141 meters above sea level and is the highest peak in South China.
Maoer Mountain is full of treasures and charming. From the foot of the mountain to the top of the mountain, the scenery is endless, making people forget to leave.
It takes about 60 minutes to get from downtown Guilin to Gaozhai at the foot of Maoer Mountain.
I went to Maoer Mountain three times, all with the goal of climbing to the top, but my steps always ended at Gaozhai at the foot of the mountain.
The first time I went to Maoer Mountain was in spring.
There are 46 kinds of azaleas in Maoer Mountain, which bloom from April to June, from the foot of the mountain to the top of the mountain according to the season.
Azaleas and rapeseed bloom together in spring in Gaozhai. The flowers compete for beauty, attracting bees and butterflies.
White butterflies, naughty butterflies, and gray butterflies are everywhere.
The first thing that attracted me was the flocks of black swallowtail butterflies.
The swallowtail butterfly looks so black, most likely it is a visitor from the mountain. The higher the altitude, the darker the wing color. Coupled with short days and high humidity, swallowtail butterflies tend to turn black.
But I didn’t expect it to be so dazzlingly dark.
As the seasons change, sooner or later the flowers will bloom upward layer by layer. Why are the black swallowtail butterflies rushing to attend the event at the foot of the mountain?
Also attracting attention are the sawflies.
The area at an altitude of 1000-1500 meters is the territory of wild sawflies. They came to Gaozhai at an altitude of 500 meters to shuttle together. Did they come because of the water? But Maoer Mountain is humid all spring, where is there no water?
The sawflies came because of the rape flowers. ? But they seem to stay away from the rape flowers.
Then the sawflies are most likely coming for the azaleas. Rhododendrons bloom up the mountain one after another. Do the sawflies play a very important role?
Nature has its own unique language.
Both bees and butterflies are messengers of nature. They tell the stories of nature with their voices and dances.
I caught up with this grand event in Gaozhai in spring, how could I miss it?
I chased bees and butterflies in Gaozhai, mainly to distinguish their origins and identities. , in order to reason about their division of labor in spring and their role in the overall biodiversity of Maoershan.
I want to find out, who plays the leading role?
The second time I went to Maoer Mountain was in the summer.
I came to escape the summer heat.
Huajiang Yao Township is 280 meters above sea level, and the average temperature in July is 26.8°C.
Gaozhai is 500 meters above sea level, and the average temperature in July is about 24°C.
Going to the top of the mountain, the temperature will drop by about 0.6°C for every 100 meters of altitude increase.
In Gaozhai in the summer, it is best not to turn on the air conditioner and open the windows at night! Let the natural wind and fresh vegetation flow in, and you will sleep particularly soundly.
What attracts me to Gaozhai in summer is the water.
The Shamu River and Wugui River at the source of the Li River converge in Gaozhai, forming the Shili Grand Canyon.
The area with an altitude of 1,000-2,000 meters above sea level is surrounded by clouds and snow all year round.
The clear water in the Grand Canyon mainly comes from cloud biochemistry.
Clouds and mist appear regularly, and the fragrant water also emerges rhythmically. The concerto of nature is so wonderful that you can only appreciate its mystery by touching and breathing it up close.
The Maoershan cloud layer is an important guarantee for the navigation depth of 0.7 meters for large cruise ships in the Li River.
The rhythm of water flow in the Grand Canyon will directly affect the water level of the Li River. This affects whether passengers board the cruise ship at a nearby pier or a far-away pier.
It will further affect the mood of tourists.
The granite in the Grand Canyon originated from the earth's crust and has no tendency to be rich in iron.
The average Nb/Ta value of the continental crust is 11-17.5, while the Nb/Ta value of the granite in Gaozhai Canyon is only 4.47. Its low degree of mineral fusion ensures the refreshing quality of running water.
The granite that fills the canyon is clean and round. It is the protector of clear streams. It is also the guarantee that causes the huge drop in the Grand Canyon and makes the flowing water colorful.
The Shamu River is more than 6,000 meters long, with a drop of 1,500 meters. Various forms of Pearl Falls, Longmen Falls, etc. have been created.
Looking down the canyon from the balcony on the sixth floor, you can see fish in the deep pool.
Just 30 minutes of soaking in the deep pool can eliminate fatigue and fall asleep with a light and airy feeling.
You can smell the fragrance of the water when you swim in the deep pool. If you are impulsive, you can even drink water while swimming. The internal organs can quickly cooperate with the peristalsis, and every sensory nerve is mobilized.
My third trip to Maoer Mountain was in autumn.
The terraced fields in Gaozhai are golden.
The vegetation begins to shrink.
Nature is becoming more and more peaceful.
I brought my old mother with me.
My mother fell in love with Gaozhai as soon as she arrived, saying that Gaozhai resembled the ancient villages depicted in TV series.
I hardly have time to watch TV series, and I don’t know how current TV series depict ancient villages. But I think what my mother meant by "like" may mean that the smell and atmosphere are very similar.
My mother didn’t want to go to the top of the mountain to see it, so she stayed in Gaozhai. She slept well and had a surprisingly good appetite.
What my mother likes, I also want to like.
My mother left her heart in Gaozhai, and I also left my love in Gaozhai.
As long as my mother is willing, I will bring her here every year.
The forest coverage rate of Maoershan is 96.48%, making it one of the largest and most native virgin forest areas in Guangxi.
There are more than 1,700 species of plants in the area, and the number of negative oxygen ions is 50,000-80,000/cm3.
More importantly, the flora secrete huge amounts of phytoncides.
Phytoncidine can lower blood pressure, slow down heartbeat, and eliminate fatigue.
Rich and powerful negative oxygen ions and phytoncides flow along the canyon, covering Gaozhai up, down, left and right under the action of airflow.
How can you not get drunk?
Fragrance can retain people.
Nature creates a comprehensive aura that cannot be seen by the common eye, and it can also keep our footsteps.
Those who love mountains must have a mature and steady attitude towards the mountains.
I was born by the sea, but I fell in love with the mountains by taking a different approach. As soon as I see the mountain, my mind relaxes, and as soon as I climb the mountain, I feel happy.
Loving mountains is like love. When you first fall in love, you often don’t understand the essentials, don’t understand the rules, fail to experience the rich taste of love, and fail to love deeply.
I am 29 years old. I spent two nights and one day without rest. Starting from the Huashanjiao Railway Station, I walked through the four hills of Huashan Mountain in one go, and then returned along the original route.
When climbing the mountain, it looks like the People's Liberation Army marching into the mountain to suppress bandits. When going down the mountain, it looks like the bandits surrendering and surrendering.
As a result, I don’t have much impression of what Huashan looks like.
When I was 31 years old, I spent an afternoon and an evening walking the main line of Huangshan Mountain. As a result, only the welcoming pine was remembered, and all other situations were forgotten after a few years.
The main reason why I can remember the welcoming pine is that I often see it in picture albums
After numerous "bandit-suppression-style" climbs, I was tired of my hasty rush. For mountainous areas where I can freely enter and exit for a long time, I am willing to slow down.
If you love a mountain, look at it slowly and savor it.
When you encounter a beautiful mountain, you might as well look at it from its "three-inch golden lotus".
If you ask me when I will reach the top of Maoer Mountain?
I don’t know either.
I still like to take a walk at the foot of Maoer Mountain.
