How to pronounce Su
Su pronunciation: sū.
Su, pronounced as sū or sù, was first seen in bronze inscriptions.
There are two main views on the etymology of "Su".
First, "Su" is the original character of "Su". Wood is both the sound and form participle, indicating branches. In the bronze inscription, the glyph adds "wood" at the position of the fish's gills, which means using branches to pass through the gills to lift the fish. The ancients discovered that by using branches or straw to pass through the gills to lift the fish, although the fish loses water and damages the gills in a short period of time, it will not kill the fish. As long as the necessary water environment is provided in a short period of time, the fish can " resurrection".
When the original meaning of "Christ" disappeared, the left and right structure of the inscription was adjusted and "艹" was added and replaced by "Su", which means using straw through the gills to pick up the fish. In the seal script, the word "wood" in the inscription glyph Su is written as "禾". The official script evolved into the "Loulan Slip" glyph. The secular regular script uses "ban" to replace the "su" in the traditional regular script, resulting in obscure glyphs.
Secondly, the seal script and traditional Chinese character "Su" is composed of "艸" and "苏". The word "Jesus" means pretending to die and coming back to life. The whole word means the herb that can make people who pretend to be dead come back to life. It refers to the perilla that can detoxify fish and crabs. Extension means repetition of speech. When Chinese characters were simplified, they were simplified according to the cursive and regular script forms produced in modern times to form mark characters.
