Overview of the School of Humanities and Social Sciences of Beijing Forestry University

The college is mainly responsible for the following four tasks. The first is the teaching of public courses throughout the school, focusing on ideological and political theory courses and supplemented by humanistic elective courses; the second is the two majors of law and psychology. Undergraduate education; the third is scientific research and postgraduate training in Marxist theory, philosophy of science and technology, ideological and political education, law, psychology and administrative management; the fourth is to carry out psychology college, property management junior college to undergraduate, property management college self-study exams, etc. The school is run at all levels and has established two minor majors: law and public relations.

Ideological and political theory courses are the main channel and main position for ideological and political education for students. In order to implement the spirit of the Central Committee's Document No. 16, the original courses have been reformed and include "Basic Principles of Marxism", "Introduction to the Important Thought of Mao Zedong Thought, Deng Xiaoping Theory and the "Three Represents"", and "Outline of Modern Chinese History" , "Ideological and Moral Cultivation and Legal Foundation" are four compulsory courses. In addition, the college also offers nearly 30 humanistic quality elective courses, which play an irreplaceable role in improving students' cultural taste, aesthetic taste, and cultivating humanistic qualities.
