According to inquiries on the official website of the Taipei region, the Mainland Affairs Council of the Taiwan authorities announced that it will resume applications for free travel to Taiwan by Hong Kong and Macao residents from 9 a.m. on February 20, 2023. Therefore, Taipei is open to travel as of June 12, 2023, and people’s freedom of travel is not restricted.
