Opened. According to inquiries on the official website of the Taipei region, the Mainland Affairs Council of the Taiwan authorities announced that it will resume applications for free travel to Taiwan by Hong Kong and Macao residents from 9 a.m. on February 20, 2023. Therefore, Taipei is open to travel as of June 12, 2023, and people’s freedom of travel is not restricted. Taipei, commonly known as Bei City, is the capital of Taiwan Province of the People's Republic of China. It is located in the Taipei Basin in the northern part of Taiwan Island and is surrounded by New Taipei City. It is bounded by the Tamsui River and its tributary Xindian Creek in the west, near Nangang in the east, and Muzha in the south. South hilly area, southeastern foothills of Datun Mountain in Beibao.
