However, there are many types of coral underwater, which can be clearly seen and are suitable for various underwater activities, including diving, making the seabed the core of local tourism. 3. Gulangyu Island Gulangyu Island is named after a two-meter-high rock with a cave inside on the beach in the southwest of the island. Whenever the tide is high, the waves beat against the rocks like drums. Gulangyu Island has very short streets and is criss-crossed. It is the largest island in Xiamen. 4. Taigong Island Taigong Island is located in the east of Taigong Cultural Resort in Camus Village, Rizhao Mountain and Haitian Tourist Resort, across the sea from the Third Bathing Beach. It is usually a semi-submersible island, with only the top of the island and an escape tower exposed at sea. After the tide goes out, the entire island emerges from the water. You can pick up shells and fish in the sea. There is Jiang Taigong's hometown nearby. 5. Cocoon Island Cocoon Island is located at 23°20' north latitude and 116°44' east longitude. There are Dezhou Island and Qishan, which are the barriers to Shantou Port. Named after Mazu Palace on the island. In the past, when fishermen went to the sea to worship Mazu, they would ask for live chickens and release them on the spot after worshiping, so it was also called Jifang Mountain.
