Luoyang is an ancient city with great historical and cultural significance. The editor of this article is going to tell you a very detailed guide about Luoyang. Friends who want to go there should not miss this article. Come and take a look. Detailed travel guide to Luoyang

“The beauty of the country is unparalleled, and spring blooms late during the Grain Rain.” On the first weekend after Grain Rain, I was sent to Luoyang where it is said that the peonies are in full bloom. In a trip of more than one day, apart from the normal work schedule, I took advantage of every opportunity to visit Longmen Grottoes, Lijingmen, China National Garden and Luoyang Museum. It’s night to write this article, to record what I saw and felt!

1. Longmen Grottoes

My heart has been yearning for Longmen Grottoes for a long time. When I arrived at Longmen High-speed Railway Station, the sky was filled with a rosy atmosphere. There is a slight drizzle. The statues and scenic spots of Longmen Grottoes are distributed on the mountains on both sides of the broad Yi River. Two quaint stone bridges cross the river and connect the two sides.

The right bank is mainly composed of various grotto statues. Some of the statues belonged to ancient temples, so they were named after the temples, such as Qianxi Temple, Fengxian Temple, etc. Apart from the statues on the cliffs, there are currently no statues on the cliff. No temple is visible. The largest Lushena Buddha among the Longmen Grottoes statues belonged to Fengxian Temple in ancient times. According to Buddhist scriptures, Lusena means bright light. According to reports, the Buddha is 17.14 meters high, with a head height of 4 meters and ears 1.9 meters long. It is harmonious, peaceful and comfortable, making people respect but not fear. In addition to Dongshan Grottoes, there are also cultural relics such as Xiangshan Temple and Baiyuan on the left bank.

Buddha statues in the Longmen area began during the reign of Emperor Xiaowen of the Northern Wei Dynasty and lasted for about 400 years through the Eastern Wei, Western Wei, Northern Qi, Sui, Tang, Five Dynasties, Song and other dynasties. The largest Buddha statue is 17 meters high. Minimum 3 cm. As long as you pay attention wherever you pass by, you will find that they exist in every corner you look at, high and low, large and small, but all of them are solemn and sacred.

The statue-makers include royal families, dignitaries and ordinary people. They express their inner world and express their wishes for this world or the next life by building Buddha statues on the mountain. Time has spanned thousands of years, and the creators of the statues have aged in time. The Buddha statues that carry faith have been partly damaged by wind, sun, and man-made damage, or their faces have been blurred, and some have even disappeared. The niche is empty.

What is surprising is that from time to time on the bare cliff, you will find unknown grass growing in front of the Buddhist niche, and some are still blooming with small flowers, in the wind and rain. Inside, open quietly in the sun, everyone who sees it will be shocked to the soul consciously or unconsciously, feel grateful for the breadth of Buddhism, admire the tenacity of life, and be moved by the perseverance of every meritorious person. It makes people sigh and sigh endlessly when they see it. Many of the wishes of the creators of the statues are no longer known to future generations, but the spirit and beliefs they carry and represent still linger in people's hearts.

Dongshan is also known as Xiangshan because of its abundant fragrant kudzu. Many statues on the east mountain are located in steeper locations than on the west mountain. If you want to visit them, you need to climb steep stairs. The scale of the statues in Dongshan is slightly smaller than that in Xishan. Except for some of the statues' own characteristics, most of the statues are not much different from those in Xishan.

The Xiangshan Temple is located on the hillside of Dongshan Mountain. The temple was built in the first year of Xiping in the Northern Wei Dynasty and the third year of Chui Gong in the Tang Dynasty. The eminent Indian monk Dipohara (Rizhao) was buried here. The Buddhist temple was rebuilt to accommodate his body. . In the first year of Tianshou, Wu Zetian proclaimed himself emperor in Luoyang and established the Wuzhou Dynasty. King Wu of Liang thought twice and renamed it "Xiangshan Temple" and rebuilt the temple. Wu Zetian often visited the temple with her relatives and left behind "Fragrant Mountain to compose poems and win brocade robes". good story.

It has been rebuilt five times in history. Among them, in the sixth year of the reign of Emperor Dahe of the Tang Dynasty, the famous poet Bai Juyi donated money to rebuild Xiangshan Temple and wrote "Records of the Repair of Xiangshan Temple". "The most beautiful scenery in the suburbs of Luodu is Longmen. Among the ten temples in Longmen, Xiangshan is the most beautiful place for sightseeing." Take Xiangshan as its nickname. It was rebuilt during the Kangxi period of the Qing Dynasty. Emperor Qianlong once visited Xiangshan Temple and wrote a poem "Two Poems on Xiangshan Temple" praising "the ten temples in Longmen, Xiangshan is the first." After Xiangshan Temple was rebuilt in 1936, a two-story building was built in the temple to celebrate Chiang Kai-shek's 50th birthday, which was called the "Chiang Kai-shek Villa". In the pavilion behind the villa, there is an imperial pen left by Emperor Qianlong when he visited Longmen. The text on the stone tablet is clear and well-preserved.

Baiyuan is located on Pipa Peak of Dongshan Mountain. It is the cemetery of Bai Juyi, a poet of the Tang Dynasty, and is also the end of the Dongshan Tourist Line. Bai Juyi, who called himself "Xiangshan layman", formed the "Xiangshan Nine Elders Association" with Monk Ruman and others and chanted in the halls and forests of the temple. Bai Juyi died in the sixth year of Huichang (846 AD) and was buried in Xiangshan Temple by Master Ruman. Tower side.

At the entrance to the garden, a waterfall slowly flows down from the rockery, forming a pool of clear water. Climb up the steps from the side of the rockery. In the garden, there are towering ancient trees and majestic bamboos. There is a stele gallery with stone tablets written in Chinese characters by Japanese literati. On the side of the corridor, there is a teahouse selling snacks, tea and peony stones with flower-like textures. Visitors often drink tea and rest here, and then pay a visit to the poet's grave.

There are many inscriptions by Chinese and foreign scholars around the tomb. Most of the inscriptions are inscribed by Japanese cultural scholars or organizations. Their affirmation and praise of Bai Shaofu's influence on Japanese culture are not subtle in the text. This is especially true after the Tang and Song Dynasties. It is a breath of fresh air for Japanese culture, which has become increasingly conceited, narrow-minded and gloomy in modern times. We saw a flower bed in Baiyuan. The flowers had withered. Some people said they were peonies, but we didn’t pay much attention to this at the time.

Walking out of Baiyuan and looking back at the way we came, we can see the fragrant hills and verdant hills, the faint towers, and the distant bank of the Yi River. The drizzle is like silk, and there are many Buddhist niches. People can't help but think of the song "Jiangnan Spring" by Du Mu, a poet of the Tang Dynasty: "Thousands of miles away, the orioles are singing, the green is reflected in red, and the wine flags are blowing in the water village. There are four hundred and eighty temples in the Southern Dynasty, and there are many towers in the mist and rain."

This is not a guide: go out of Longmen High-speed Railway Station, there is a tourist bus K91, get on the bus for everyone It costs 1.5 yuan and is about two stops away. You can purchase electronic tickets in Longmen Mall through the Longmen Grottoes official account. To purchase tickets, you need to enter one’s ID number and mobile phone number. After purchasing the ticket, a barcode is generated, and the ticket hall scans the barcode to print the paper ticket. If you do not print the ticket, you need to scan the code by the ticket inspector to enter.

2. Lijingmen

“If you ask about the prosperity and failure of ancient and modern times, please only look at Luoyang City.” The Ming Dynasty built a city wall of blue bricks based on the old sites of the Jin and Yuan Dynasties. The city perimeter was eight miles and 340 steps long, the wall was four feet high, the trench was five feet deep and three feet wide. There are four gates in the city, namely Jianchun Gate in the east, Lijing Gate in the west, Changxia Gate in the south and Anxi Gate in the north. The Lijingmen Gate Tower has been repeatedly destroyed. Today's Lijingmen Gate was built on the original site by the local government in 2002. From a distance, the city wall looks majestic, with the river below and Wengcheng in the middle, which is quite imposing and poetic.

But after entering Wengcheng through the first gate, the city wall is still majestic, but the cries of vendors, the whistles of motorcycles, and various simple and crude signboards hanging on the city wall, as well as the The non-foreign windows put an end to the poetry that had just surged up. These signs include restaurants in the city, elegant ceramics shops, and calligraphy and painting art studios. The characters are all large and smelly, and they are directly welded to two parallel steel pipes. Enter the city wall. Looking up at the couplets on the pillars of the inner city gate tower, it is enough not to look at it. After reading it, everything in front of me seems to have the answer. The couplets are also easy to understand, "If you don't come to Luoyang City without Lijing Gate, you will be in vain."

Entering the inner city, there are no electric cars, but there are more people, there are more shops on both sides, and the vendors are shouting harder. People here eat skewers, drink various signature beef soups, meatball soups, non-turning soups, etc. that are time-honored, the most authentic, and have been reported many times by XX media, etc., and line up to taste other traditional delicacies whose names I can’t remember, of course. People also buy high-quality and cheap porcelain, calligraphy and paintings, etc. here. Only the doors and windows of the old clinics and hospitals are closed. I wonder if they are still performing their functions amidst the hustle and bustle during the day.

Each shop has set up a stall in front of its door. The originally narrow old street has been compressed by the vendors along the street, and can only accommodate 3-4 people walking side by side. Every other street in the middle of the old street There is a green trash can not far away. The lid is raised high, and it is full of garbage, making the originally crowded old street even more crowded. Although there is basically no garbage scattered on the ground, these garbage are constantly impacting the sight. The trash can gives people an indescribable feeling.

One of the trash cans is particularly special. It is densely filled with bamboo sticks that resemble barbecue or candied haws. The bamboo sticks explode outward from the mouth of the barrel, and the mouth of the barrel is very high. From a distance, it looks like a A small pile of wheat straw stands proudly in the middle of the old street, dividing the bustling crowd from the middle, forming a whirlpool of people around it. There is a barbecue stall in the trash can. The two originally contradictory things are ignored by everyone here, and the stall's business is booming.

Because we were in a hurry and didn’t have a formal meal for the day, we went to a small shop on the street and ate meatball soup, non-turning soup, peony buns and a tofu labeled intangible cultural heritage that we forgot the name. Objectively Generally speaking, the taste of the snacks is okay, but the hygienic condition of each place is really not complimentable. The disinfection cabinet has no power supply, and some of the dishes taken out of it even have unwashed vegetable leaves stuck to them. The chopsticks in the disinfection cabinet seem to have just been taken out of the water and are still dripping with water.

After squeezing in among the crowds of people, eating snacks and then squeezing out, the streets were already filled with lights. The lights were led from the store to the stalls in front of their homes with bamboo poles. It was lifted up to shine on the crowds of people, and the gates were also lit up, etc., lighting up the bustling streets, and also shining on the dark windows and gatehouses on the city wall. Wengcheng is relatively quiet at this time. The sales staff in the store are either sitting drinking tea or packing their things and staring at their mobile phones. If tourists come in and don't take the initiative to ask about the items, most of them don't take the initiative to talk to them. Walking outside the city, several vendors dressed as Sun Wukong were soliciting people on the bridge to take photos with the crowds of people in the ancient city behind them.

Not a guide: There are buses from Longmen Grottoes to Lijingmen, but you need to change buses on the way. There are about 30 stops, it takes about an hour, and it costs 3 yuan/person. If you consider comfort or take a taxi, I estimate the fare to be about 50 yuan. When renting in Luoyang, you don’t need Didi. There are not many hotels within one kilometer around Lijingmen. When you go out, turn left and cross the intersection. There is a hotel on the left. The standard room is 180 yuan/night. It has one bed, one bathroom, one shower, and one TV. (I don’t know why there was no signal on the night I checked in), it’s pretty clean. If there is no paper or mineral water in the room, you can ask for it from the front desk, who has a good attitude.

3. National Garden of China

“Luoyang’s peonies are the best in the world.” As a Shandong native, I don’t agree with this statement, but I still feel a little regretful if I don’t see peonies in Luoyang. It is said that there are many places to see peonies in Luoyang. In order to save time, we chose the Chinese National Garden not far from Lijingmen.

The Chinese Painting Garden covers an area of ??1,548 acres and is divided into six scenic areas from west to east, namely: West Entrance Scenic Area, Peony Cultural Area, Peony Historical and Cultural Area, Dikemian Sightseeing Area, and East Entrance Scenic Area , production management area.

Among them, more than 500,000 peonies are planted in more than 1,000 varieties, including nine major peony color systems, and more than 2 million trees, shrubs and various types of plants are planted in more than 100 varieties. It has the reputation of "China's No. 1 National Flower Garden".

We enter from the east entrance. Soon after entering the garden, I saw more than a dozen flowers in the peony bush, which were blooming brightly. Someone said "peony" from behind, so everyone rushed forward, taking pictures with cameras, mobile phones, taking selfies, and taking pictures of flowers. The photo vendors nearby also lost no time in coming over to solicit business.

When I was about to leave after taking the photo, someone said, "Hey, these flowers are fake." I went back and took a closer look, and sure enough, it was true. The photo vendor who had just won the business said nothing, with a calm look on his face, urging the customer who took the photo to pay. Several vendors who had not gotten any business came over with cameras on their backs and said, "Want to take pictures of peonies? The flowering season has passed now, but we know where in the garden they are still blooming." It makes people feel like I just ate flies for breakfast.

This has formed a psychological shadow on me. Whenever I see peonies during my subsequent tours, I will carefully step forward to identify the authenticity before taking pictures.

The peonies have faded, and the peonies are blooming. Sometimes it’s easy to distinguish between real and fake flowers, but peonies and peonies sometimes make it difficult for me and other people who don’t usually raise grass to distinguish each other. Later I discovered a It is an extremely simple rule. As long as there is a shed to protect you from the wind and rain, nine out of ten flowers will be peonies. This simple method has been verified by the flower identification software to have very few mistakes.

Yao Huang, Wei Zi, Zhao Fendou Green. Standing in front of a peony garden that is still in ruins, looking at the slender branches holding up the huge, layered flowers, I feel that peonies are indeed weak, but they are not coquettish. They are indeed "expensive", but they are definitely not charming. No vulgar atmosphere. She grows, blooms, and withers according to the rhythm of nature. She does not wait, rely on, or force herself or others. It is fate that she comes or meets her. There is no regret if she does not come or misses her. I think maybe that’s why she is respected and loved!

The garden is named after the national flower, and most of the attractions are naturally related to peonies. There are pavilions, pavilions, small gardens and secluded paths, some of which are famous peony varieties, such as Huolianjindan Square, Gejin Jade Banner Square, Erqiao Pavilion, etc.

Some of them are taken from poems and legends about peonies in ancient books, such as Qiu Weng’s Encounter with Immortals Square, Ouyang Xiu Monument Square and Bai Juyi Monument Square; some scenic spots are also taken from famous gardens and beautiful places related to peonies in history, such as National Flower Terrace, Spoon Garden, etc. I have always believed that pavilions and couplets should complement each other, but the couplets on pavilions in the garden are either directly taken from relevant ancient poems or written by later generations. There are basically no good verses that are suitable for the scene but complement the scenery where they are.

I don’t know much about gardening, but from an ornamental perspective, I feel that plants, landscapes, and paths are indispensable to a garden. There is a lake in the National Garden called "Yanxiu". Neither the name nor the source of the water has been verified. A wide river connects to the lake, with rockeries and waterfalls in the lake. The artistic conception is acceptable, but the pine trees behind the mountains magnify the artificial traces of the landscape. All this is not unacceptable in a busy city.

What impressed me most was the small island in the water near the lake. There were several white geese looking left and right under some weeping willows beside the island, with a leisurely look. Occasionally, a fish jumps out of the water under the shade of a weeping willow and makes a loud noise, which scares the geese on the shore and runs into the depths of the willow shade. There was a lotus growing by the river. The lotus leaf was similar in size to the lotus. When I leaned down to take a closer look, I saw a small black fish falling into the shallow water above the lotus leaf. It turned over uneasily as if trying to get away. current situation.

Not a guide: There is a bus from Lijingmen to the east gate of the National Garden, about 10 stops. Overall, going to the National Garden will not surprise you, but you won’t regret the 30 yuan ticket. When I went there, there was a folk museum at the east gate that was free of charge. I went in specifically to see it. Since the second floor was not open and only the first floor was visible, I thought that if there was an admission fee, I wouldn’t have to go!

4. Luoyang Museum

Museums are very tempting to me. After visiting a museum during the Spring Festival, my keratitis suddenly became serious. My wife always objected to going to the museum afterwards, but old habits die hard. I originally didn’t want to go this time, but when I was told that the ticket change had failed, my first reaction was to go there. Check out the museum.

The appearance of the Luoyang Museum is like a huge tripod. The main building is earthy yellow and stands tall in the center of the huge open square. The first time it came into my eyes in the drizzle, I really I was really shocked. I think she perfectly explained the role of culture in heaven and earth with images, and stubbornly strengthened the status of Luoyang, a low-key ancient capital, in Chinese history.

On the day we visited, there were about four exhibition halls in the museum open at the same time. All of them were worth seeing. We wanted to see them all, but due to time constraints, we finally visited the special exhibition of peony-themed cultural relics in the Palace Museum. I paid a casual visit to the Luoyang Cultural Relics and Treasures Exhibition. Both exhibitions are perfect in terms of layout level and exhibit types. If you want to be critical, it may be that you did not consider how the exhibition can interact with visitors. Perhaps such an exhibition cannot interact with visitors at all.

Not a guide: Luoyang Museum is relatively close to the National Garden, and the taxi fare is less than 20 yuan. When renting in Luoyang, you don’t need Didi, you use 95128app. The two taxi drivers I met during this period were relatively young, enthusiastic and had good attitudes.

V. Postscript

My walking is basically due to work. Basically, I come and go in a hurry every time. Occasionally, I sneak in and go deep into the streets and scenic spots of the city, and I wander around in a hurry. Among citizens and tourists, I often feel that walking is lonely and emotionless.

I have been trying to express each time I walk alone through words, and share my feelings with everyone who has walked the same road, seen the same scenery, or even passed by. .

At the same time, I also wrote to her who often complains that we rarely travel together except going home. At this time, I feel that walking is also happy!
