Is there a fairy tale in Jiujiang?

The fairy in the cave is a feather guest in the Jianghu.

-the legend of Jiujiang Lv Dongbin.

According to folklore, Lushan Mountain is a "land of immortals". As early as the 4th century BC, when Zhou Weilie became king, the Kuang Su brothers learned Taoism and became immortals in Lushan Mountain. Later, it is said that in Zhou Wuwang, Taoist Fang Fu and Lao Tzu Li Er rode white donkeys into the mountains to make an alchemy and became immortals. It is also said that Zhang Tianshi's two high-legged disciples, Wang Chang and Zhao Sheng, were sent to Lushan Mountain to manage this 69-year-old Taoist shrine. The mysterious clouds and remote dense forest caves in Lushan Mountain add charm to these myths and legends. However, none of the above-mentioned immortals left many relics and poems in Lushan Mountain, nor could they tell a systematic story. Only Lv Dongbin, one of the Eight Cave Immortals, has many relics and some poems in Lushan and Jiujiang.

The Biography of Chen Bo in Song Dynasty records: "Lv Dongbin, a native of Anyi, Kansai, is a swordsman. He/kloc-is over 0/00 years old, with a childlike innocence and light steps. In a blink of an eye, hundreds of miles, the world thought he was immortal, and they all came to fight in the lent, and people were different. " Bai Yuchan, a poet in the Song Dynasty, said in "A Letter to Mo Tang": When Lv Dongbin was traveling in Lushan Mountain, he met Han Zhongli in the Eight Immortals and gave Dan medicine to Lv Dongbin. Then they became immortals together. According to Records of Lushan Mountain, during the reign of Emperor Xiantong of Tang Dynasty (860-874), Lv Dongbin roamed the rivers and lakes and crossed Lushan Mountain. When he met the real Dragon King, he taught him fencing. Lv Dongbin, who has both the Five Dragons swordsmanship and Li Hanzhong alchemy, carefully cultivated in the immortal cave under the Jinxiu Peak in Lushan Mountain. Up to now, there is still a statue of Lv Dongbin in the shrine of Fairy Cave, wearing a sword and shaped like a saint.

Lv Dongbin had introduced himself to others before his death. His surname was Li Mingqiong, an imperial clan of the Tang Dynasty. Although he wrote a good article, he didn't become an official until he was fifty. When Huang Chao rebelled, he left four children and took his wife Jin to practice in the cave. Because there were only two people left in the family, he changed his surname to Lu; Because he lived under a rock, he changed his name to rock; In the end, he was left alone, so he named himself "pure Yoko".

According to the Records of Jiujiang County, Lv Dongbin was the magistrate of Xunyang County. According to folklore, there are two goblins in Lushan who are good at using double swords. The sword front points to Xunyang city where the plague is prevalent. Lv Dongbin conquered the two monsters and put their swords in a treasure box. People can live in peace because the evil soul has been removed. Lv Dongbin personally inscribed the word "longevity" more than three feet high and presented it to the people of Jiujiang, wishing them a long and happy life.

Because Lv Dongbin has done some good things for Xunyang people, people built the Lv Xian Temple in the Yanshui Pavilion of Gantang Lake. It is said that this temple in Lv Xian is still effective today. During the Wanli period of the Ming Dynasty, the mother of Huang Tengchun, the governor of Jiujiang, was blind and went to Lv Xian Temple to pray for Lv Dongbin to give her an elixir. That night, Huang Tengchun dreamed that Lv Dongbin washed his mother's eyes with fairy water. The next day, Huang Mu saw the light again. In order to thank Lv Dongbin for his kindness, Huang Tengchun rebuilt the Lv Xian Temple and came to worship at four o'clock.

According to legend, Lv Dongbin once disguised himself as a beggar and went to Ruichang County to beg. A sick woman presented a copper coin. Lv Dongbin buried the copper coins in the ground and floated away. This strange behavior aroused the suspicion of the villagers. Because this "beggar" is tall and energetic, he looks like Lv Dongbin, one of the Eight Immortals in the painting, rather than a gaunt beggar in the street. Sick women and villagers went to dig dirt under copper coins to treat diseases, which really cured many incurable diseases. More and more people dig, and a well is dug, which is called "Lv Gongjing". Well water is clear, and it has not dried up for many years. Water waves converge into a word "Lu" and will never disappear.

Huanglong Temple on Huanglong Mountain in xiushui county is a famous temple in the south of the Yangtze River in Song Dynasty. The founder here is Huinan of Song Dynasty (1002- 1069). According to legend, Lv Dongbin went to Huanglong Temple via Yueyang, Hunan, and paid an audience with Huinan, and presented a poem: "The iron ox plows the fields and the children carve the stone. A grain of millet hides the world, and half a liter of water hides mountains and rivers. The white-bearded Lao Tzu's eyebrows drooped, and the blue-eyed monk pointed to the sky. If you want to take it from middle school, it will cost more than one yuan. "

At the end of the poem, the Buddhism and Taoism factions sat down to discuss Buddhism. Lv Dongbin asked, "Do you know that a grain of millet hides the world and half a liter of mountains and rivers is in the pot?" Huinan replied: "You can only squat inside, not outside." Lv Dongbin added, "Why don't you put the medicine in my bag?" Huinan replied: "Eighty thousand robberies were all in vain."

A monk together, tit for tat, to outdo each other, who also didn't convince, Lv Dongbin walked away. After Lv Dongbin left, Huinan said to his disciples, "He will definitely fly his sword and take my head." While the monk was wondering, a cold light fell from the sky, and the disease was like lightning, taking Huinan straight. Huinan gave full play to her internal strength, exclaiming, and the flying sword fell to the ground with a clang. Lv Dongbin was convinced, and gave Huinan another poem: "Abandon the floating bag and break the piano, and now we will not smelt mercury and gold. Once I realized the Huanglong Buddhism, I began to feel that I had wasted my life. "

The Record of Lushan Mountain contains two poems by Lv Dongbin about Lushan Mountain:

The wall of Shuguizong Temple

A day of leisure and freedom, the six gods are at peace.

There is a treasure in the abdomen to rest and seek Tao, but there is no intention of Mo Wen Zen.

The Gate of Book Jiang Hui

After the banquet, folk songs on the sea, and the moon ladle filled with dew and bathed in elixir.

Late at night, cranes glow in autumn, and the west wind is cold in Wan Li.

All the above are myths and legends. According to the historical data demonstrated by Li Yumin's Textual Research on Lv Dongbin published in the first issue of Journal of Shanxi University 1990, Lv Dongbin was born in the Five Dynasties, not in the Tang Xiantong period. Lv Dongbin is a hermit, not a Taoist, not a fairy. He lived in seclusion in Zhong Nanshan with his family, and then went to Huashan. He made friends with Chen Bo, a hermit, and was good at fencing and writing poems. When he was in Song Taizu and Song Taizong, his poems were widely circulated among the people, with more than 100. Unlike ordinary hermits who live in seclusion in the mountains, he likes to travel, "traveling around the world", and has traveled all over Hunan, Wei Liang, Sanyu and Baiyue, and has also been to Jiujiang and Lushan. He looks rich and handsome, and he is on cloud nine. He has predicted the fate of others, and his whereabouts are mysterious. He has also done some good things for the people, so people suspect that he is a fairy.
