Six-day self-guided tour of Yantai, Penglai and Weihai
In order to escape the summer heat and see the sea, we chose a self-guided sea view tour of Yantai, Penglai and Weihai in the summer. Unexpectedly, when I arrived in Yantai, I felt it was much cooler than Shanghai. Let’s introduce our journey this time.
D1 There is only one local train from Shanghai to Yantai, which takes 20 hours to arrive. It will arrive at Yantai Railway Station at 6:52 pm. After exiting the north gate of the railway station, go to the square. Take the No. 17 sightseeing bus and it will take more than 10 minutes. We got off at Shimao Department Store Station (1 yuan) and arrived at the "Zhaohaojia" Shimao Bay Store No. 1 that we booked in advance. Our friend recommended an apartment at Shimao Bay No. 1 called "Zhuhaojia" near Marina Square in the city center that we booked on Taobao. Shimao Bay No. 1 is the tallest building complex around the Bohai Sea. The apartment is a small self-catering apartment. The price is 158 yuan/day for 3 people (it seems that there are also high-end sea view rooms for 398, 318, and 198 yuan). It has air conditioning, computer, TV, and independent bathroom and kitchen. The room is not big and very comfortable. This is a family hotel recommended by a friend. It's very clean. The most important thing is that it's in the city center. It's surrounded by Yantai Mountain, Marina Square, Changyu Museum, the First Bathing Beach, etc. The environment is very good. After taking the train for more than 20 hours, it feels like home. You can cook your own meals. Shimao Bay is in the CBD area of ??Yantai's city center. There is a lively market downstairs, with large hotels, small restaurants, food stalls, barbecue restaurants, etc. Our friends and we bought a lot of seafood in the market and returned to "Live a Good Home" "The Shimao Bay Store made it myself, and I had a seafood feast, which was great! Never tasted like this before! After eating, we went downstairs to play in the Marina Square. The beach is nice and noisy, and there are a lot of people at 8 or 9 pm.
D2 In the morning, I heated up the milk and eggs I bought last night in the kitchen, had a simple breakfast, and then went to Yantai Mountain first, because it is free to enter Yantai Mountain at 7:30 in the morning (because citizens enter the mountain in the morning) Exercise is free). Yantai Mountain is very close to Shimao Bay. When you go downstairs, you can see a hill on the seaside with a white lighthouse on it. We entered the Yantai Mountain Scenic Area without buying tickets early. Yantai Mountain is surrounded by the sea on three sides. Also known as "Ocean Island". With mountains and seas combined and water and land connected, it is one of the main scenic spots in Yantai City. Standing on Yantai Mountain, you can have a panoramic view of Yantai City. The main attractions include the lighthouse, Yantai Stone, Anti-Japanese Martyrs Memorial Tower, stone boat, Jalang Pavilion and building complexes. The lighthouse on the mountain is an old castle-style lighthouse with a height of 49.25 meters and a milky white color. This is the origin of the name Yantai and is also the city logo of Yantai City. Jalang Pavilion on the mountain is the best place to watch the sea and listen to the waves, which is unique and interesting. The Yantai Mountain Building Complex is the largest existing modern consulate building complex in Asia. It is very distinctive, with different architectural styles, rich flavor of the times, and well-preserved. It has the earliest existing British colonial "veranda style" building in Asia, with classical It is said that it is a treasure trove of modern architecture such as the Chinese and Western style, the Chinese and Western style, and the early British apartment style. These modern buildings bring together different historical and cultural characteristics of different countries.
After coming out of Yantai Mountain, we came to the Changyu Wine Culture Museum. The museum is next to the "Zhuhaojia" Shimao store where we stayed. The original site of Changyu Company was China's first world-class wine store. Specialized museum. The ticket price is 30 yuan and 50 yuan. The difference lies in the types of wine tasting and the gifts. We bought a ticket for 30 yuan. The most distinctive feature of the museum is the large underground wine cellar, which is based on Changyu’s more than 120 years of history. The main line, through a large number of cultural relics, real objects, old photos, calligraphy by famous artists, etc., uses high-tech expression techniques to tell us the history of the development of China's national industry represented by Changyu and the knowledge of wine culture. The museum is composed of a wine culture square, a century-old underground wine cellar, a comprehensive hall, a historical hall, a film and television hall, a modern hall, a calligraphy and painting hall, a treasure hall, a leisure shopping hall, a conference reception hall, an information network center, a marketing center and a modern office area. . The century-old underground wine cellar is known as the largest in the Far East. The cellar is warm in winter and cool in summer. The arches and caves are intertwined like a maze. Thousands of oak barrels, including the Asian Barrel King, are neatly arranged, making it a spectacular sight. Out of the museum.
After leaving the museum, we visited the Marina Square seaside. Walk along the coast from the west side of Binhai Square to the No. 17 sightseeing bus stop at Hongkou Hotel on the east side of Binhai Square. Take the No. 17 sightseeing route along Binhai Road, passing the First Bathing Beach, Moon Bay, East Fort, Zhanqiao, and Second You can stroll along Binhai Road to visit tourist attractions such as the Bathing Beach, Haichang Fisherman's Wharf, the Yellow Sea Pier, and the East Gate Beach of Yantai University. There are many people on the beach collecting shells and catching crickets. I think East Fort, Moon Bay and Zhanqiao are pretty good. When you are tired from playing, you can take the No. 17 bus and go back to the "Zhuhaojia" Shimao Bay Store to rest.
D3 In the morning, you can take bus 8, 18 or 50 from Shimao Department Store Station to Beima Road Bus Station to take a bus to Penglai. There are frequent buses and there are many buses. The bus departs every 15 minutes and the fare is 16 yuan. I have to praise it here. The bus service in Shandong is really good. The flight attendants are like stewardesses. They introduce themselves and the driver first, then remind them to pay attention to the journey, and are also responsible for pouring water for passengers. They are very enthusiastic and answer all questions. We planned to take a boat to Changdao in the afternoon after visiting Penglai Pavilion, so we stored our luggage at the bus station (3 yuan/item). Student ID cards cannot be used for all attractions in Penglai, so we bought attraction tickets at the station, which provides free shuttle services between attractions. Tickets for Penglai Pavilion are 85 yuan, and a combined ticket is 100 yuan, which includes the former residence of Qi Jiguang.
We spent 4 hours exploring the entire Penglai Pavilion Scenic Area, which is quite big. The ancient buildings here are not grand but very quaint. The best place to see the sea is the seaside plank road built along the cliff of Tianheng Mountain. It feels particularly good. I would also like to praise the driver who picked up and dropped off the Penglai Station attractions. On the way back to the station, the driver heard that we were going to the pier to take a boat to Changdao. He happened to be picking up people from the nearby Polar World, so he let us take our luggage and send them there. We went to the dock and they were really nice and warm-hearted people. We took the ferry to Changdao at around 3 o'clock, the fare was 30 yuan, and we stayed at Master Diao's fisherman's house on the island. There are many fishermen's houses on the island, so it doesn't matter if you don't make a reservation. They are all 100 yuan per person, including 3 meals. There are very few standard rooms, so book early. You can sleep here at night without air conditioning. I originally planned to go to Jiuzhang Cliff, but here they only sell combined tickets for several attractions, not individual ones. We sneaked to Moon Bay and walked around. We felt that it was not much different from the bay in Yantai. The beach was made of small pebbles and there were many people picking pebbles.
D4 made an agreement with the owner of Yujiale the night before that we were going to sea, and he would help make contact. After breakfast the next day, buses arrived at various intersections at 7:30 to pick up people going out to sea. Going out to sea costs 180 yuan per person. Departing from Changdao Pier, we took a boat to Houji Island in the center of the Bohai Sea (there are many birds), and then went to Wanniao Island. It was the first time I saw so many seabirds. Tourists were excited to feed them. After returning from Bird Island, we returned to the pagoda. Reef, then land on Temple Island, and finally return. Return to Yujiale at noon, have a meal, then return to Penglai, and take a bus to Yantai in the afternoon. Return to the "Zhuhaojia" Shimao Bay store in the evening.
On the fifth day of D5, I went downstairs at 7:30 in the morning and took bus 2 for a few minutes to the bus terminal. I took a bus to Weihai. There is a regular bus from Yantai to Weihai, which leaves every 15 minutes. The fare to Weihai is 17 yuan. , it is very convenient to wave to the bus on the roadside. It takes one hour to get to Weihai. Remember not to get off at the long-distance bus terminal in Weihai (the bus terminal is in Weihai Economic Zone, far away from the pier from Weihai to Liugong Island). It must be near Weihai Zhenhua Commercial Building in Huancui District. After getting off the bus, take a taxi to Liugong Island Yacht Terminal and try to get to Liugong Island at 9 am. After visiting in the morning, take a boat back to Weihai City for dinner at noon. After the meal, we visited Weihai city and the seaside park. I felt that the seaside was quite nice. At night, we stayed at the Andong Hotel in Weihai (it seems to be a chain of the Huafu Hotel in Yantai).
D6 In the morning, we took the bus back to Yantai and passed by Yangma Island to get off and visit the place where Qin Shihuang raised horses. After getting off the Yangma Island exit from the Yanwei Expressway, take a taxi (or bus) from Yangma Island on Binhai Road to Yangma Island and go to the beach. The sea here is particularly clear and the sand is quite fine. You can go horse riding at the racecourse. Since I haven't bought a train ticket from Weihai back to Shanghai before, the main reason is that the trains from Jinan or Xuzhou back to Shanghai only have standing tickets. Why do you think train tickets are so popular in normal times? In the evening, I returned to Yantai to "live in a good home" and have a good rest in preparation for the 21-hour return journey the next day.
Tips:
Itinerary: Yantai City, Penglai Pavilion, Changdao, Weihai and Yangma Island, *** six days.
Sunscreen! Sunscreen, after-sun repair, sun umbrella, and sunglasses must be prepared.
Book accommodation in advance. It is recommended to stay at the "Zhuhaojia" Shimao Bay Branch or Huafujia Hotel in Yantai. You can find it by searching for "Zhuhaojia" or "Yantai Huafujia Hotel" on Taobao. Determining the itinerary in advance can ensure that the room will be at a good price. You can cook a seafood feast by yourself, or you can simply cook some of your favorite meals, which will also taste delicious.
Wear sports shoes when hiking and beach shoes at the beach. Otherwise, if you wear sandals to the pebble beach, your feet will be miserable.
Including the time on the road, our six-day trip cost about 2,500 yuan per person, including buying some souvenirs.
I wonder if it will be useful to you! Choose mine, I need to share it, thank you in advance!
