How much cash can I take abroad in Vietnam?
According to the regulations, for RMB cash, the limit that passengers can bring in and out of the country is no more than 20,000 RMB. Foreign currency cash, the amount of foreign currency cash that outbound passengers can carry does not exceed the equivalent of 5,000 US dollars.
Those who bring foreign currency cash with the equivalent value of more than 5,000 US dollars out of the country must truthfully declare to the customs. Anyone who carries excess currency out of the country must show the foreign exchange carrying certificate issued by the People's Bank of China or the foreign exchange administration department, and go through the relevant customs clearance procedures.
Therefore, if passengers really need to bring cash into and out of the country, they can explain to the bank staff that they need to take it out of the country when purchasing foreign exchange, and then apply for the corresponding foreign exchange carrying certificate.
How to apply for extension information foreign exchange carrying certificate
1. Prepare materials, including passport, valid visa or endorsement, deposit certificate (interest list or withdrawal receipt) or relevant foreign exchange purchase certificate.
2. If foreign currency cash is withdrawn from the foreign exchange deposits of immediate family members, proof of kinship (marriage certificate, household registration book or notarial certificate) shall also be provided.
3. The exit personnel shall apply to the account opening bank or the foreign exchange purchasing bank for carrying certificates with the above-mentioned audit materials.
4. After verifying that the materials provided by the exit personnel are correct, the bank will issue a "Carrying Certificate" to them and keep a copy of the above materials for 5 years for future reference.
5. The customs will release the goods with this carrying certificate. When a bank issues a carry-on certificate to an outbound person, it shall not exceed the amount of the deposit certificate or the amount of foreign exchange purchased by the bank, and the amount of each carry-on certificate issued by the bank shall not exceed the equivalent of US$ 654.38+00,000.
6. The Carrying Certificate shall be stamped with the "Approval Seal of the State Administration of Foreign Exchange for Carrying Foreign Exchange Abroad" or the "Special Seal of the Bank for Carrying Foreign Exchange Abroad", which shall be valid once within 30 days from the date of issuance, and shall be invalid upon expiration.
7. If multiple carrying certificates are used, and the total amount of the carrying certificates stamped with the bank seal exceeds the equivalent of US$ 65,438+0,000 yuan, the customs will not release them.
