How to get to Qinghai Lake from Beijing?

You can take a train directly to Xining in Beijing, and then take a bus to Qinghai Lake (Erlangjian Scenic Area) at Bayi Road Bus Terminal. You can rent a bike to ride!

After the National Day, Qinghai Lake tourism has entered the off-season (it has snowed now), Tibetan inns have also begun to close down, and bicycle rental may also close down. Accommodation in Xining is cheap. You can stay in an ordinary business express hotel, and some of them may be cheaper. If you live in the Tibetan "Mujiale" next to Qinghai Lake, you can bargain to 30 people this season (50 in summer peak season).

If it takes four days, no problem at all. The cost is not too high. The train ticket from Beijing to Xining is less than 400, and the bus ticket from Xining to Qinghai Lake is 37. Renting a bicycle for 30 yuan a day is almost enough. Eating in Xining is also very cheap. Go early if you want! It's late, so it's inconvenient to stay in Qinghai Lake.
