Triathlon in Shuicheng, Zhongyuan

The water entertainment facilities in the Zhongyuan Water City Scenic Area are relatively complete. The National Sports Commission successfully held the Henan Youth Rowing Games, the National Youth Canoeing Championships, and the National Canoeing Games here three times in a row in 1994, 1995, and 1996. Canoe Championship and is now the Henan Province Canoe Training Base.

In 2000, Zhongyuan Water City was approved as a provincial tourist attraction by the Henan Provincial Tourism Bureau. Zhongyuan Water City gave Sui County the reputation of "Central Plains Water City".

In November 2008, Zhongyuan Shuicheng Scenic Area was approved as a national 3A-level tourist attraction by the Henan Provincial Tourism Attractions Quality Rating Committee.

On June 20, 2009, it successfully hosted the 2009 National Triathlon Championship.

The reason why the "Sui County Zhongyuan Shuicheng Park Triathlon Stadium" can be named the "China Triathlon Association Special Stadium" is to illustrate the importance of Sui County for its outstanding performance in the event for three consecutive years.
