Introduction of Tourist Attractions in Nandan Mountain Scenic Area
The tourist attractions in Nandan Mountain Scenic Area include Wanshou Palace, Pindan Pavilion Observation Deck, Kaiyuan Temple and Landscape Swimming Pool, which are introduced as follows:
1. Wanshou Palace
In history, Wanshou Palace in Nanshan started at the end of Han Dynasty, and was set up by rural sages to honor the three stars of Fu Lushou. The left and right couplets are "Happiness is like flowing water in the East China Sea, longevity is better than that in Nanshan", with four seasons.
2. Pindanting Observation Deck
Climb up the steps along Ziyun Valley or Shuiling Valley, and finally reach Pindanting Observation Deck, the highest point of the Rainforest Valley Scenic Area. This observation deck is built according to the terrain, with blue sky on the top, overlooking the earth on the bottom, deep on three sides and surrounded by forests on four sides.
3. Kaiyuan Temple
Kaiyuan Temple is located in Guanyinling, Nandan Mountain. It was founded in the Kaiyuan period of the Tang Dynasty (AD 725) and was originally named Banshan Temple. In the 26th year of Kaiyuan (738), in order to celebrate his birthday, Emperor Xuanzong of the Tang Dynasty made each county choose a temple to be named after its year number, so Banshan Temple was renamed Kaiyuan Temple.
4. Landscape Swimming Pool
Nandanshan Landscape Swimming Pool is located in the rainforest service area, surrounded by lush green hills on three sides, and three swimming pools scattered at the foot of the mountain are naturally connected in series by Romantic Avenue. Nandan Mountain Original Ecological Health Scenic Area is located in Nanshan Town (Jingkou Overseas Chinese Economic Zone), Sanshui District, Foshan City, Guangdong Province, with a scenic area of 6 square kilometers, only 7 kilometers away from Guangzhou and Foshan. Mount Nandan is more than 5 meters high, and the whole valley is covered with dense virgin forest. It is preliminarily found that there are nearly 3, species of plants, nearly 7 species of wild Chinese herbal medicines, more than 6 mountain waterfalls, and more than 2 species of wild animals such as phoenix birds, scarabs and pangolins.
