Should I choose to travel independently or in a domestic tour group when traveling to Germany?

Whether to travel to Germany independently or in a group is a question that varies from person to person and there is no final answer.

If you travel to Germany with a tour group, you will usually only visit a few of the most famous attractions, but you don’t have to go into details. However, Germany is huge. If you’re not good at self-guided tours, this is a worry-free way.

For self-guided tours in Germany, you can choose an itinerary based on your personal interests, time schedule, etc. If you can afford to arrange a self-guided tour, you will usually have a great travel experience.

For self-guided tours, self-driving tours are recommended. There are more than a hundred mature road travel routes in Germany, each with its own unique theme that represents Germany's regional characteristics. These trips are fun to drive and experience, making for an attractive package.

If you don’t want to drive, Germany’s dense train routes also allow tourists to reach various regions in Germany smoothly. Traveling by train is also a very special experience.

In my opinion, there are two situations.

First, if you are familiar with Germany and have no major communication problems, then you can choose to travel independently. This way, you don’t necessarily have to travel according to your preferences.

Second, if it is your first time to travel to Germany and you are not familiar with Germany, then I suggest you choose to join a group tour. In this way, any difficulties encountered can be solved with the help of the team.
