How to install a router

In daily life, surfing the Internet is usually inseparable from routers and wireless WiFi. Some users may not know how to install the newly bought wireless router when they come back. This paper mainly introduces the connection mode between wireless router and optical cat or superior router, and sets up the graphic course of wireless router surfing the Internet.

First, install the wireless router.

There are two kinds of router installation, one is wired connection, and the other is wireless bridging, but generally I use wired (network cable) connection, so that the router is better in speed and stability.

Connect the network cable of the optical cat port 1 to the WAN port of the router, and the LAN port of the router is used to connect the computer host.

Second, the router is set to access the Internet.

1, view the login management page address.

First of all, we need to get the login management address (web address) of the router on the nameplate label at the bottom of the router, because the login management address of different brands and models of routers is different. Some routers have a default initial user name and password written on their labels. If it is not written, it means that the router wants the user to create an administrator login password.

2. The browser will open the management page.

Open a browser, enter the address of the router login management page in the browser address bar, and then create an administrator password.

Note: This article takes TP-LINK router as a tutorial. If your router is another brand, please follow your router address.

3. Internet access mode of router

After creating the password of the router administrator, it is time to set the internet access mode, and the router will automatically detect what internet access mode your broadband is.

If it is dial-up Internet access, then choose the Internet access method of "automatically obtaining IP address", and some routers are called dynamic IP addresses.

If you don't have a cat and it's a network cable, then choose the "broadband dial-up" internet access method, which is called PPPOE on some routers.

4, router wireless settings

Wireless settings are also called WiFi settings. You can set the WiFi signal name and WiFi password that your wireless router wants.

After the setting is completed, click "Save" to complete the wireless router setting. Unless there is an accident, your router can access the Internet. If you can't surf the Internet, the first thing to check is whether you have chosen the right way to surf the Internet and whether the connection with the network cable is correct.
