Here are some scenic spots for you. You can make your own arrangements on which day to go.

DAY 1

Kunming people are relatively lazy, and it is too early in the morning. No stores are open.

You can go hiking in the Xishan Scenic Area in the morning. Take the bus to Stilt. There is Nie Er's tomb on the top. You can overlook the entire Dianchi Lake. The scenery is very good. On the way down the mountain, there are some stalls selling small ethnic items, and you can buy some at bargain prices. There are also people riding horses on it.

You can go to the ethnic village in the afternoon, just at the foot of the West Mountain.

For dinner in the evening, you can go to the small street opposite Yunnan University Dianchi College. It’s delicious, cheap, and very close.

Before dark, you can go cycling and feed seagulls at Haigeng Dam next to Dianchi Lake. Or go to Dianchi Park for a walk.

DAY 2

In the morning you can go to the Garden Expo or the Golden Palace (Wu San and Gui’s territory), in the afternoon you can go shopping in Colorful Yunnan, and in the evening you can go to Nanping Pedestrian Street. (The iconic building of Golden Horse and Jade Rooster is right there).

Other attractions are Cuihu Lake (next to Yunnan University, with the Army Lecture Hall), the former site of Southwest Associated University (Normal University on 121st Street), and Jingxing Street Flower and Bird Market (next to Nanping Street, where you can buy The first choice for things with ethnic characteristics or Southeast Asian characteristics), Dounan Flower Market (you must go in the morning, you can’t buy cheap flowers and essential oils after 12 o’clock), Epiphyllum Temple, Yuantong Temple.

Suburban areas such as Xiyoudong, Jiuxiang, Stone Forest, and Jiaozi Snow Mountain are all accessible by bus from Kunming. It is very convenient. It depends on where you want to go.
