Where is Shimane Prefecture, Matsue City, Japan? On that island?
Shimane Prefecture is located in the northern part of Japan's Chugoku region. It is divided into Matsue, Izumo, Hamada, Masuda and Oki Island from north to south.
Shimane Prefecture is in the central part of Honshu Island
Matsue City is located on the east coast of Lake Shinji in the northern part of Shimane Prefecture, Japan. It is the seat of the Shimane Prefecture’s county office and has a population of nearly 200,000. It is also the county seat with the smallest population in Japan.
