Xiangxi Tujia and Miao Autonomous Prefecture, Hunan Province. Jishou City, referred to as "Ji" for short, belongs to Xiangxi Tujia and Miao Autonomous Prefecture in Hunan Province. It is the capital of the autonomous prefecture and the central city of Wuling Mountain. Located in the west of Hunan Province and the south of Xiangxi Tujia and Miao Autonomous Prefecture, it belongs to a subtropical humid monsoon climate zone with mild climate and distinct seasons, with a total area of 1078.33 square kilometers. By the end of 2022, the resident population of Jishou City was 428,583.
