A pilgrimage site for desert exploration and the hometown of Dao Lang dance, you can only visit Xinjiang deeply if you have been to Mohammad.

In the southwest of Xinjiang, there is a county called Mohammad, which is seldom visited by tourists. As far as I can remember, the most intensive media coverage of Mohammad was1September, 1993, when the Sino-British joint expedition walked on the Sea of Death, because the expedition started from Mohammad, and after Mohammad entered the desert, he left the desert from Ruoqiang Luobuzhuang for 60 days, totaling 1500 km. Completed the first expedition across the sea of death in human history, and intensive media reports made the world know about Mohammad County. CCTV News Network alone reported the incident six times in a row.

However, after the news incident, Maccati fell into silence again, which made people feel a little sorry. As a member of that expedition, I always thought that Mohammad would become a great tourist destination in Xinjiang. However, due to traffic and other reasons, it has not been hot here, and few tour groups come to Mohammad. So what resources does McGetty have to see and play?

As we know, southern Xinjiang is an area where people appreciate Uygur customs. People often go to Hotan, Kashgar and Kuqa. Mohammad belongs to Kashgar, only170km drive from Kashgar, but it is unique and irreplaceable in other places, because it is the hometown of Daolang culture.

It turns out that Uyghur Dolans is not a Uighur. They were slaves plundered by Mongolian nobles and serf owners in the13rd century. They were either incorporated into the army to fight, or forced to engage in heavy manual labor, so they rose up against oppression and fled into the desert in the lower reaches of the Yarkant River, leading a nomadic life of hunting. Later, the Dao Lang tribe absorbed the Uighurs living at the bottom, and they merged together, and their life and cultural customs gradually drew closer, creating their own culture-Daolang culture in the desert with a sinister environment. It should be pointed out that it has nothing to do with Tao. Its original meaning is "concentration and gathering", which is obviously related to the aforementioned history and now refers to a unique cultural phenomenon.

As an important branch of Uyghur culture, Daolang culture is more reflected in music, singing and dancing. The music is loud and powerful, with clear rhythm. Intense dance movements are often accompanied by high-speed rotation. It is said that it is to reproduce the hunting process. It is completely different from the beautiful Uygur songs and dances that we are familiar with with with humor. It can be said that appreciating Dao Lang's songs and dances can bring spiritual shock to the audience, and this kind of shocking enjoyment can only be better in the original ecological environment of Mohammad County.

Maigaiti County is not only the hometown of Daolang culture, but also one of the four major peasant paintings in China and the only one of minority peasant paintings. In Mohammad County, many peasant painters are active. They are farmers in busy farming and become painters in slack farming. The most interesting thing about their works is their extreme life. The daily life scenes of Uighurs are integrated into the works, such as respecting the old and loving the young, singing and dancing in business, herding sheep, herding cattle and planting trees. , covering almost every field of life, bold colors and eclectic techniques, but the same characteristics are happiness and humor.

The county has specially built a farmer painting exhibition hall for these farmer painters. The exhibition hall contains their best works. You can see them or buy them, and the price is not expensive. I bought a pair of works by a teacher who taught farmers to draw (the teacher is also a farmer). The scene of chatting with several farmers' uncles is very vivid. It has been hanging on the wall of the study so far, and I am not worried at all when I see it. Painting is also an important activity for local farmers to supplement their lives. As a tourist, buying one or two paintings can be regarded as doing a little kindness.

Desert tourism is also a good local tourism resource. In order to commemorate the Sino-British joint exploration, the local desert exploration museum was built, which displayed many physical objects of desert exploration and told the historical story of desert exploration. When you experience desert tourism in Maccati, you will feel different from desert park. The desert here is more primitive and pure. The most important thing is that you can get in close contact with desert residents and really understand their lives. Although they live in a difficult environment, their optimistic and simple attitude towards life will definitely infect you and make you know yourself again.

Speaking of desert, we are no strangers in today's developed tourism industry, but having a beautiful desert lake in Maccati will definitely make us feel extremely happy. This lake is called Dao Lang Lake, and Dao Lang Lake was originally called Jirentai Ma Le Reservoir, also called Qiandao Lake in Dao Lang. Located in Sanba Village, Yangtak Township, north of Makati County, it is 0/5km away from the county seat/kloc-with a water surface of 23,000mu. It is not easy to have such a large area of water for people to visit in a place surrounded by vast sand sea.

Wandering by boat on the blue lake of Dao Lang, watching Sha Ou Ji Xiang and listening to birds singing, you will forget that you are on the edge of the world's largest mobile desert at this time, especially when the sun rises in the morning and the sun rises in Ran Ran, there will be a land of plenty in the south of the Yangtze River. There are many desert landscapes in China, but it must be said that this lake makes the desert landscape in Mohammad unique, so it has a unique name-Southern Xinjiang Water Town.

It is not unusual to see sheep in Xinjiang, but you may not have seen them before. There is a Maigaiti Ahematizi Soft Cattle and Sheep Custody Center, where there are the best cattle and sheep breeds in the world, which are beautiful and strong, but the price is "gratifying". The most expensive sheep can reach hundreds of thousands, of course, they are all breeding sheep. You can see the performance of fighting sheep here. Two big rams ran and collided at an extremely fast speed, making a loud crash, just for the right to mate.

Well, it's finally time to talk about McGetty food. It is impossible to come to Xinjiang without eating mutton skewers. In the evening, we eat kebabs in the streets of Mohammad County. We found that there were no kebabs here. On the barbecue stall, the whole slaughtered sheep is hung. The boss pointed to the hind leg of a sheep and asked us: How many people do you eat? Is this leg enough? It turns out that all the meat we eat here is cut and strung. In fact, eight of us didn't finish this hind leg, packed it and took it away, and had another meal the next morning.

However, compared with mutton kebabs, the grilled fish in Maccati impressed me more. Speaking of it, the way of grilled fish here is the same as that of Luobu people in Xinjiang. Historically, Luobu people lived along the desert rivers in Xinjiang and made a living by fishing and hunting. After fishing by canoe, they lit a bonfire, put the fish on the shelf and cooked it on the spot. After two or three feet of fish were almost transparent, the smell of fish floated ashore. Unfortunately, such a scene is hard to see today. MacGetty grilled fish in almost the same way as Rob, so don't miss a grilled fish when you come to MacGetty. Personally, I think it is the most distinctive food of McGetty.
