Xiamen Travel Guide One-day Tour of Jimei School Village
One-day tour of Jimei
After the Jimei Village subway station left the station, we arrived at the most magical school. He said it was a school, but it was actually a village. Jimei School Village is the general name of all kinds of schools and cultural institutions in Jimei, located in Jimei Village. It was founded in 19 13 by Chen Jiageng, a famous patriotic overseas Chinese leader, and enjoys a high reputation at home and abroad. It has formed a talent training system from pre-school education to primary school, junior high school and senior high school, and from undergraduate education to master's and doctoral education. It is not only a beautiful place in Zhong Ling, but also a scenic spot. Its architecture combines Chinese and western, which embodies the typical architectural style of overseas Chinese hometown in southern Fujian. Compared with Xiamen University, the scenery of Jimei School Village is more beautiful.
Walk about 200 meters from the subway station exit, and you can see the gate of Jimei School Village. Jimei School Village was founded under the personal guidance of Chen Jiageng. The combination of Chinese and western culture embodies the typical architectural style of the hometown of overseas Chinese in southern Fujian. Whether it's a tall and spectacular school building or a small and elegant pavilion, it's all glazed tile roofs, dragon ridges and phoenix eaves, carved beams and painted buildings, which people call "Jiageng style".
First of all, you can go up Jiageng Road along the gate of Jimei School Village, and pass by Maritime Institute and Funantang. Jimei Maritime College is a national key, and of course it is also nicknamed "Monk Temple" by us.
You can walk all the way from Jiageng Road to Shigu Road, and you can find scattered colleges and residential areas. Most schools are open and there is no strict access control. There are fewer tourists and the academic atmosphere is more peaceful.
You can walk along Shigu Road to Jingxian Park and then to the main campus of Jimei University. The headquarters is the latest campus, and it is still expanding in recent years. There are pavilions, lakes and egrets here. The commercial building has beautiful scenery, and the Jiageng Library is magnificent. What's more, there are lovely sculptures on the tree-lined path.
After coming out of our college, I recommend going to Wei You for lunch, winter bamboo shoots and Wei You golden duck noodles.
After dinner, you can continue to go to Dashe Community, which has a history of over 700 years. There are traditional red brick houses in southern Fujian, and Gulangyu Island and Zhongshan Road are generally covered with overseas Chinese buildings with different customs, combining Chinese and Western styles, such as Nanyang style and Spanish style. You can go to Dashe Theatre or Dashe Sadie Noodle Restaurant.
The times have left a strong mark here. These historical marks, which are hard to see on the island, can be seen in big clubs. It's relaxing and quiet here, and everything around seems to slow down. Walking into the traditional ancestral temple in southern Fujian-Chen ancestral hall, you can't help but admire this great patriotic leader who devoted all his studies.
Here, it has also been built into a cultural block-network celebrity graffiti street, which has brought new vitality to this ancient house.
If you come to Jimei, you must also visit Jiageng Park. At present, Chen Jiageng Memorial Hall has been expanded in Jiageng Park, leading to the Olympic Park. The whole scenic spot is open for free. In Chen Jiageng Memorial Hall, you can learn about teacher Chen Jiageng's life experience and his great feelings of donating money for education. He is really an admirable old man.
It is also the best place to enjoy the panoramic view of Jimei Bridge. The sea and sky are the same color, and a white bridge spans it, which is beautiful.
It is divided into three parts: Aoyuanxuan, Jimei Liberation Monument and Chen Jiageng Mausoleum. Entering the park, it is a 50-meter-long porch with 40 bluestone reliefs and three-dimensional serial portraits of ancient and modern historical figures carved on the hatchback wall. Many graphics
In the center of the park stands the Jimei Liberation Monument. There is a screen wall 7 meters high and 30 meters wide in front of the monument. There is a 12 relief in the middle, engraved with the word "natural history view". Chen Jiageng's tomb is horseshoe-shaped, surrounded by 15 pieces of bluestone relief. This paper introduces the teacher's important experience in the first half of his life.
In Jiageng Park, there is a sculpture of peach, plum and wheatgrass, and a group of teachers and students are looking up to Jimei Jie Fangbei to remember Jiageng's kindness. Show the prosperity of normal education in Chen Jiageng, with peaches and plums all over the world.
There are high and low pavilions all over the park, which is the embodiment of the combination of Chinese and western. The most representative ones are the Olympic Pavilion and Shiming Pavilion, which were built at the same time as the Olympic Garden in 1950s and 1960s. They are an extension of the architectural landscape of the Olympic Garden.
