Foshan Vocational and Technical College was formally established in June 2000. It is a full-time public institution of higher learning approved by the Guangdong Provincial People's Government and supervised by the Foshan Municipal People's Government. The school is located in the hinterland of Sanshui Park, Foshan National Industrial Park, with a total area of 956 mu and a construction area of about 293,000 square meters.

There are more than ten thousand full-time students in this school. There are seven secondary colleges, including Intelligent Manufacturing College, Electronic Information College, Automobile Engineering College, New Energy and Energy Conservation and Environmental Protection Engineering College, Economic Management College, Cultural Tourism Creative College and Marxist College.
