About the itinerary

The best way to travel in Iceland is to travel by car around the island, but my best friend and I don’t know how to drive, so just like Finland, we signed up for a day tour.< /p>

Our group was registered on the official websites of GuidetoIceland and grayline. The hotel front desk usually provides some tour groups, and you can sign up according to your own itinerary.

One-day tour of the Golden Circle

Iceland’s classic scenic spots route. Great Rift - Geyser - Gullfoss.

Waterfalls_Black Beach_Glacial Lagoon_Glacier Hiking

We joined a small group that lasted two days and one night. The route is good. On the way, I also met two friends who were traveling alone and encountered the colorful aurora (I will write a separate note about the aurora later). The tour guide was also very cute.

The only regret is not going to Chenglan Ice Cave.

Blue Lagoon Hot Spring

A place that must be experienced. It feels like arriving in wonderland. Tickets can be booked on the official website. 50 minutes drive from the city center

Reykjavik

You can also spend a day exploring the capital. Buy souvenirs and visit churches and concert halls. There is also a port.

Others

Snowmobiling, riding a pony, chasing the aurora.

About accommodation

Except for the one-night accommodation included in the two-day tour, we stayed in the capital Reykjavik for the rest of the time. The tour group will be transported to the hotel by car.

We stayed at the Reykjavik Center Hotel. Great location and very clean. The disadvantage is that it is a bit expensive.

About food

Iceland’s specialties are fish and mutton. But the food is really average and very expensive.

Fiskmarkaeurinn. You need to make a reservation in advance. It tastes pretty good and is the most expensive meal we had in Iceland. The per capita income is about 12,000isk.

B?jarinsBeztu, a roadside snack, is said to be the best hot dog in the world
