Friend, it takes about 3 hours from Kuala Lumpur to Malacca. In the morning, you can take the bus 10 from KL Central to Genting. There is really nothing to play on Genting except the casino. Amusement parks are not as interesting as in China. You can look at the buildings and decorations above, which are quite distinctive.

In Malacca, the clean and safe hotels I know are generally concentrated in Junker Street, which is the pedestrian street there. There seem to be a few good ones. My friend used to live there, because it's close to places to eat, play and sell things. There is still leisure downstairs. You can go for a drink in the evening, and the charge is about 100 ringgit.
