Ancient Diezhou City Ruins

The ancient Diezhou City Ruins are located in Rannao Village, Dianga Town, in the eastern suburbs of Diebu County. The city is about 1,000 meters long from east to west and 450 meters wide from north to south. The city walls are built according to the terrain. The city walls are irregular pentagons and an inner city is built in the northeast of the city. The ruins of the ancient city still exist to this day. A large number of colored and plain pottery pieces, as well as pottery pots, stone tools, patterned tiles and other ancient cultural relics were found in many places within the ruins and in the rammed earth layer of the castle ruins. On a ridge about 80 meters high northwest of the ancient city, there is an ancient beacon built of rammed loess. The ancient city ruins were designated as provincial cultural relics protection units in 1993.
