The status of atomic city

Atomic city is a national key scenic spot, a part of Qinghai Lake, a national key cultural relic protection unit and a national patriotic education demonstration base.

China's first nuclear weapons research and development base is located in the hinterland of Jinyintan Grassland, Haiyan County, Haibei Prefecture. 3 15 National Road runs through the city, only 80 kilometers away from Xining, the provincial capital. It is an architectural, cultural and scenic tourist area.
