Where is Jianglang Mountain?
Jianglang Mountain is located in Shimen Town in the southwest of Jiangshan City, Zhejiang Province, at the northern foot of the Xianxia Mountains, at the junction of the three provinces of Zhejiang, Fujian and Jiangxi. It is 25 kilometers away from Jiangshan City and 60 kilometers away from Quzhou City. The main peak is 819.1 meters above sea level. It is an outstanding representative of the late-old-high solitary peak type Danxia landform. It is known as "the most amazing Danxia peak in the country" and "the most majestic peak in the world and the most beautiful in the southeast". The great poets Bai Juyi, Xin Qiji and Lu You left many poems here. The great geographer Xu Xiake wrote about Jianglang Mountain during his three trips to Jiangshan. He compared Jianglang Mountain with Yandang Mountain, Huangshan Mountain and Dinghu Peak, and praised Jianglang Mountain as "wonderful", "dangerous" and "divine". The scenery of Jianglang Mountain has fascinated many Chinese and foreign tourists. Jianglang Mountain was born in the Cretaceous Period, 135 million years ago. On August 2, 2010, six other places, including Danxia Mountain, Longhu Mountain, and Chishui, were successfully declared as World Natural Heritage in the name of "Chinese Danxia" and became the first World Heritage in Zhejiang Province. At the same time, Jianglang Mountain is also a national scenic spot and a national AAAA tourist area.
1. Introduction to attractions
1. Tianban Jianglang: located at the entrance of Jianglang Mountain. This is the best viewing point for a panoramic view of Jianglang Mountain. The hilly plain landscape with old age landforms spreads out in the open area in front, and the lane valley landform landscape with the solitary peak of Jianglang Mountain in the distance floats on the open plain. The contrast between the two gives people a strong sense of natural beauty. Next to it are the four characters "Tian Ban Jiang Lang" inscribed by Mr. Qi Gong engraved on the stone tablet. Around the Pliocene, the red sandstone in Jianglang Mountain suffered severe erosion, leaving only three isolated peaks 300 meters high. Jianglang Mountain was raised to a high position due to natural erosion and crustal movement, forming three pieces of stone. They rise high in the clouds and mist in the mid-air, as if they are halfway up the sky, hence the name "Tianban Jianglang".
2. Kaiming Zen Temple: Kaiming Zen Temple was built in the second year of Tianxi reign of Song Dynasty (1018 AD) and has a history of nearly a thousand years. The vicissitudes of life have led to repeated construction and destruction. The current temple was rebuilt in 1990. The words "Namo Amitabha" on the door wall were written by Master Hongyi, and the four characters "Kaiming Zen Temple" were inscribed by Zhao Puchu, the former president of the Buddhist Association.
3. Xiake Pavilion: Xiake Pavilion is the best scenic spot to view Sanyi Stone. It would be a great pity for tourists who come to Jianglang Mountain not to go because they have to go back. Don’t be afraid to take such a long journey back, go and have a look. It can even be said that this is the best viewing spot in Jianglang Mountain. Xu Xiake visited Jiangshan three times in 1620, 1628 and 1630, and left more than 2,600 words of travel notes about Jianglang Mountain, Fugai Mountain and other places. This pavilion was built in his memory.
4. One-line sky: There are many one-line sky in China, and the one in Jianglang Mountain is called “the best one-line sky in China’s Danxia” by experts. Its length and height are close to 300 meters, and its width is between 3.5 and 5 meters. The two walls are parallel and straight, like a stone alley carved by a giant axe. Looking up at the sky, it is majestic and unparalleled, making people feel great. Be amazed by the uncanny workmanship of nature!
5. Dengtianping: During the Jiajing period of the Ming Dynasty, Zhou Wenxing, a native of Jiangshan, became the minister of Honglu Temple, and was known as Zhou Honglu. Zhou Honglu later resigned and returned to his hometown, and invited a large number of craftsmen to build trusses here to "reach the sky". After three consecutive years of construction, the pillars had rotted away before they reached the top, and the trusses collapsed together with the dream of reaching the sky. In 1987, the stone steps to the summit began to be excavated. By 1990, more than 3,500 stone steps had been completed, which can be regarded as the completion of the ancients' dream of climbing to the sky. With 3,500 steps, climbing up the steep mountain, and a trail full of skill, wisdom and courage, this will be an unforgettable experience.
6. Langfeng Tianyou: From Tianping to the summit, the vertical height is 225 meters, and more than 3,500 stone steps must be climbed. The stone steps are more than 1 foot wide in the wide part and just enough to stand on in the narrow part. They twist and turn on the Qianxun cliff, and there is an abyss below. There are several ravines on the top of the mountain, several meters wide and bottomless. Standing on the top of Langfeng Peak, overlooking the undulating mountains and the vast sea of ??clouds, you will feel the pride of "being at the top of the mountain and seeing all the small mountains at a glance".
