Sichuan Tourism University
Sichuan Tourism University is sponsored by the Sichuan Provincial People's Government and is the first full-time general undergraduate program named after "tourism" in China. The university was approved by the Ministry of Education in 2013 and was established by the merger of Sichuan Culinary College and Sichuan Agricultural Management Cadre College.
The school is one of the 100 universities in the country to build the "Applied Undergraduate Industry-Education Integrated Development Project", a pilot university for the "Three Whole Education" comprehensive reform in Sichuan Province, and a pilot university for the overall transformation and development reform of undergraduate colleges in Sichuan Province. .
In 2018, the school was approved by the Overseas Chinese Affairs Office of the State Council as the "Overseas Chinese Food Prosperity Plan Base". In September 2021, the school was selected into the fifth batch of national intangible cultural representative project protection units. Shanghai Tourism College
The school was established in 1979. It is the earliest independently established tourism college in China. It was once affiliated to the former National Tourism Administration and was established by the Shanghai Municipal Government in 2000. manage. In August 2003, with the approval of the Shanghai Municipal People's Government, Shanghai Tourism College and the Shanghai Normal University School of Urban and Tourism merged to form the Shanghai Normal University School of Tourism to provide academic education at all levels from junior college to master's degree.
At the same time, Shanghai Tourism College still carries out vocational education as an independent legal entity. In 2011, the school successfully passed the acceptance of the National Demonstration Vocational College Construction Plan of the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Finance, becoming the only national model higher vocational college in the tourism category in the country.
Yangzhou University (Culinary School)
The Tourism Culinary Institute is a distinctive college affiliated to Yangzhou University. The college was established in 1998 by the former School of Business and Nutrition of Yangzhou University. The Department of Science and the tourism management major of the former Department of History and Tourism of the Normal College were established. The culinary and nutrition education major of the college was founded in 1983, pioneering culinary higher education in China.
In 2002, the School of Food Science and Engineering of Yangzhou University was transferred from the Food Processing Department of the College of Agriculture of Yangzhou University. In the same year, Yangzhou University established the School of Tourism and Cooking of Yangzhou University and the School of Food Science and Engineering. The formation of "team". In July 2022, the Tourism and Cooking School of Yangzhou University was established independently.
