Liu Yude has served as secretary of the Party branch of Liujiaying Village since 1975 and has served for 18 consecutive years. Liujiaying, a well-known backward village in the region, has entered the ranks of advanced villages in the region and has been commended by the National Ethnic Affairs Commission and the provincial and municipal people's governments as an advanced collective for national unity and progress. Liu Yude himself has also been rated as an outstanding Communist Party member in Linzi District and an advanced worker in municipal unity for two consecutive years.

In 1993, Liu Yude was hired as deputy section chief of the News Section by the Propaganda Department of the District Party Committee. In 1990, he was seconded to the Culture and Tourism Bureau to engage in secretarial and publicity work.

Liu Yude began literary creation and news writing in 1988.
