Yancheng City has 3 districts, namely: Tinghu District, Yandu District, and Dafeng District; 5 counties, namely: Jianhu County, Sheyang County, Funing County, Binhai County, Xiangshui County; one county-level city is Dongtai City.

1. Tinghu District, Yancheng City. Tinghu District is located in Yancheng City, Jiangsu Province. Located on the coast of the Yellow Sea, it is the political, economic and cultural center of Yancheng City. Tinghu District reaches the coast of the Yellow Sea in the east; borders Dafeng District of Yancheng City in the south; is across the street from Yandu District in the west; and is connected to Jianhu and Sheyang counties in the north, with a total area of ??800 square kilometers.

2. Yandu District, Yancheng City.

Yandu District is affiliated to Yancheng City, Jiangsu Province. It is located in the east-central part of Jiangsu Province, between the Yangtze and Huaihe Rivers, in the middle of the Lixia River and upstream of Xinyang Port. North latitude 33°07'52″～33°25'22″, east longitude 119°40'49″～120°13'22″. It is connected to Tinghu District of Yancheng City in the east, Dafeng District of Yancheng City in the southeast corner, facing Xinghua City across the Xingyanjie River in the south, and adjacent to Baoying and Jianhu Counties in the northwest.

3. Dafeng District, Yancheng City.

Dafeng District is affiliated to Yancheng City, Jiangsu Province. It is located in the east of Jiangsu Province, southeast of Yancheng City, bordering Tinghu District of Yancheng City to the north, Dongtai City to the south, Xinghua City to the west, and the Yellow Sea to the east. The total area is 3008 square kilometers. The name "Dafeng" comes from the fact that there are two towns in the territory, Dazhong and Xinfeng, each named after one character.

4. Jianhu County, Yancheng City.

It borders the Yellow Sea to the east and is separated from the Korean Peninsula and Japan's Kyushu Island by the sea.
