Parent-child travel notes

The significance of taking a child to travel is not how many places he has been to or how many scenery he has remembered. It is about allowing children to be relaxed and happy, eat well, play well, rest well, and at the same time be able to get close to nature and feel the beauty of nature.

Nianhuawan, a small town in Wuxi’s Lingshan Mountains, is such a pure place where children and adults can rest assured and return their souls to nature and tranquility.

This is the first Zen-themed town in China. Lingshan Town Nianhuawan is the first domestic characteristic town with the theme of Zen culture by building a tourist resort complex integrating tourism, sightseeing, accommodation, food, vacation and experience. ?

The name "Nianhua Bay" comes from the classic story of the Buddha holding flowers and Kassapa smiling at the Lingshan Conference on the one hand - holding the flowers and smiling, and also because the land where it is located is shaped like five. Magical landscape with lotus leaves.

The overall architectural style of the town refers to the style of Nara, Japan, and incorporates the unique water system of the Jiangnan town in China to create a unique architectural style.

Day 1: Nianhua Inn - Xiangyuehua Street - Miaoyintai - Nianhua Square - Half-mountain with the sun - Wudeng Lake

There are five of us, three There are two children, my sister and I, with our own children and my mother. We drove from Suzhou at 9:00 and arrived at the scenic spot around 11:30.

After arriving at the scenic spot and parking the car in the parking lot, the first thing to do is to check in and purchase tickets for the scenic spot. Online booking is only for room type booking. Where to stay depends on the actual check-in situation after arriving at the scenic spot. The front desk is OK.

There are more than 20 Zen-themed inns in Nianhua Bay: one flower, one world, tea, sticks, a pool of lotus leaves, half-window sparse shadows, a pine in front of the door, firefly villa , reed flower lodge, hundred-foot pole, half clouds, a bright moon, no gates, no dust.

? The main building of the inn follows the Zen theme of Nianhuawan, using elements such as bamboo, wood, straw, and green bricks. Every brick, wood, tile, and stone is carefully built to match the design. The green bamboos, flowers and trees planted in the courtyard, as well as the mountains and waters, all imply the simplicity of Eastern aesthetics.

You can choose the room type according to your own needs, and then feel the ubiquitous Zen at your heart. After selecting the inn, you will be given a check-in card, not a room card. The room card needs to be redeemed at the specific inn.

After checking in, entering the scenic area, the sightseeing bus will take us to the designated inn. The service guy has a very good attitude. He will take the initiative to help carry luggage and remind you to ride safely.

The one we chose is called "Bai Chi Gan", which means "the head of a hundred feet pole is one step closer."

The inn is in the shape of a courtyard. The entire inn has two floors and about 10 guest rooms. The scenery inside and outside the courtyard is particularly unique.

? Each inn has a housekeeper who is responsible for all the affairs of the inn. , you can write down the number and consult directly if you have any questions. There are activity guidelines written on the small blackboard in the hall, so you can get a general idea.

? Living in Nianhua Inn, you will experience not only a Zen accommodation, but also an encounter with Zen life.

Tips

? Check-in time: after 15:00, check-out time: before 12:00 noon.

? Because the check-out time is 12 o'clock at the latest, it takes time to clean the guest room, so you won't be able to check in right away. If you arrive early, you can leave your luggage to the butler and go out for a walk or find delicious food.

After leaving the inn, Xiangyuehua Street is on the right hand side. There are many small food and beverage shops on the street, all of which are very sentimental. We chose this one called Nianhuaxi Food, which specializes in famous Wuxi snacks. Very suitable for children to eat, lunch is solved here.

? Try some crab roe xiaolongbao and ordinary xiaolongbao, each has its own unique taste.

? I also ordered black rice dumplings, lily soup, taro soup, glutinous rice dumpling soup, and sauced pork ribs. They all tasted very good and are suitable for all ages. My favorite is glutinous rice dumpling soup.

After eating Wuxi snacks, continue walking along Xiangyuehua Street. The entire town is run through Xiangyuehua Street. Both sides of the street are lined with antique buildings, and every shop is decorated with a Zen or artistic atmosphere.

? The types of shops include tea tasting, Zen music hall, food, Zen clothing...

? New and beautiful flowers are placed at the entrance of each shop, and there are also customized Some small Zen-style scenery are full of vitality and very beautiful. I can’t help but admire that Nianhua Bay is really a scene with every step.

In addition to flowers, there are novice monks everywhere with their hands clasped together. With the background of Zen music playing in a loop throughout the town, everyone relaxes.

? Moms, imagine that it would be very pleasant to hold your baby in hand, walk around, eat and shop on such a beautiful street.

? Keep walking forward, accompanied by the gentle chirping of birds in the mountain stream, accompanied by the sound of gurgling water in the distance, wooden houses and stone statues are hidden deep in the woods high and low, "winding paths" The poetic meaning of "the Zen room is deep with flowers and trees in the secluded place" comes to mind.

? Every mountain, every water, every grass, every tree, every stone, every leaf, the sound of Buddha, the bamboo, the novice monks, there is Zen everywhere.

? The practitioners stand in meditation, surrounded by mist, like a fairyland on earth.

When night falls and the lanterns first come on, "Xiangyuehua Street" is lit up by small Zen lamps with the characteristics of Nianhuawan, and a town that is more beautiful than during the day is unveiled. Compared with Nianhua Bay during the day, the night view of Nianhua Bay has a unique artistic conception.

? As night falls, a grand light show also kicks off. There are three major performances in Nianhua Bay worth seeing: the lighting ceremony of Nianhua Tower and the mid-mountain sun light show. ,, Wudeng Lake Fountain Show.

The climax part is when the lighthouse lights up layer by layer. When the lighthouse is completely lit, it looks like a large glazed tower, crystal clear.

There is one show every half hour, and the duration of each show is also very short, about 6 minutes. There are the most people between 7 and 8 pm, so you can watch during the peak hours.

Day 2: Nianhua Lake - Zen meditation activities - Parent-child experience - Return

? The inn provides free breakfast, the variety is pretty good, relatively light, and suits my taste mouth.

? Tofu curd is also good. It is packed in a big wooden barrel. Open the small wooden lid, scoop out a spoonful, and sprinkle with seasonings according to your own taste. It tastes delicious...

? After breakfast, we started our day's itinerary. The first stop was to do a rocking boat ride at Nianhua Lake.

? Along with the Zen music played on the boat and admiring the beautiful lake scenery, all worries disappeared.

? "A flock of solitary gulls and herons, a gathering place for chickens and dolphins. The sun is held in the middle of the mountain, and the shadow of the fallen sail is in the building; the wind is left in the valleys, and the sound of woodcutters is heard on the pillow. The fluffy thatch is not ruffled, The bamboo stick follows suit. The screen of the white board is opened in the distance, and the horn of the bird is slowly clasped. "The scenery here in Sun Zhan's article of the Song Dynasty is more profound.

? The town also holds scripture copying and Zen food activities, allowing people to experience Zen culture and deepen their understanding of "Zen". Using the Zen landscape of Nianhua Bay and the landscape architecture of the Tang and Song Dynasties as a carrier, it displays the lifestyles of Zen practitioners such as copying scriptures, meditating, begging for alms, and walking.

? Nianhuawan has a slogan - live a good life. These four simple words reveal the most urgent pursuit of people's hearts at the moment. Living a good life is not about glory and wealth, but a life of indifference, tranquility and returning to the essence.

Is life hard? Tired? What's painful is that people have too many desires that affect their body and mind; I hope everyone can look down on everything and live a good life.
