Construction was officially started on November 1, 2001 with the approval of the State Planning Commission. This project is a large (II) type water conservancy project integrating irrigation, flood control, power generation, breeding, tourism and other functions. It is mainly composed of four parts: a main dam, an auxiliary dam, an overflow dam and a hydropower station. The reservoir covers an area of ??35 square kilometers, with a normal water storage level of 230.5m and a total storage capacity of 260 million cubic meters. The main dam is 1,620 meters long and the highest point of the dam is 20 meters. The project will be completed before October 2006.

1. Scenery of Maoligeer Bridge: Maoligeer Bridge is located in Chuole Reservoir. In 1981, one of the important bridges on National Highway 111, Maoligel Bridge, was completed.
