Speaking of China's major tourist province, Yunnan is definitely "the first to bear the brunt". Yunnan Province, located in the southwest of China, has always been the most popular traditional tourist destination in China because of its beautiful natural scenery, rich ethnic customs and profound historical and cultural heritage. A large number of tourists come to Yunnan for sightseeing every year.

However, with the development of the times and the change of people's travel habits, Guizhou Province, next door to Yunnan Province, has also begun to vigorously develop tourism and achieved good results. Now more and more people choose to travel to Guizhou instead of Yunnan. It can be said that "emerging" Guizhou tourism has gradually affected the status of "established" Yunnan tourism.

In fact, Yunnan and Guizhou, two neighboring southwestern provinces, are similar in many ways. First of all, these two provinces are located in the Yunnan-Guizhou Plateau. No matter the climate, scenery and terrain are close, we can see many natural landscapes in Yunnan and Guizhou provinces, but the scenic spots in Yunnan were developed earlier and their popularity may be higher.

In addition, in terms of cultural heritage, Guizhou and Yunnan are both provinces with rich ethnic customs, and ethnic culture is also one of the important reasons for attracting a large number of tourists. Even in tourism slogans, Yunnan is called "colorful Yunnan" and Guizhou is called "colorful Guizhou", which has the same effect. It can be seen that the cultural characteristics of the two provinces are in the same strain.

Now more and more people choose to travel to Guizhou instead of Yunnan. Another important reason is that there are too many negative news about Yunnan tourism in recent years, so that the reputation of Yunnan tourism has dropped sharply. Although Yunnan Province has been vigorously rectifying the unhealthy trend in the tourism industry and has achieved remarkable results, it will probably take some time to restore the confidence of tourists.

However, because Guizhou tourism has just started, it has learned relevant lessons, and it has become more experienced in management and maintained a relatively good reputation, so more and more people want to travel to Guizhou. But compared with Yunnan tourism, Guizhou tourism is still "young". The scenic spots in Guizhou are not so famous and the supporting facilities are not so perfect. It takes a certain process to catch up with Yunnan in this respect.
