What's the difference between comics and picture books?

Comic: It is an art form, a picture depicting life or current affairs in a simple and exaggerated way. Generally, methods such as deformation, analogy, symbol, suggestion and innuendo are used to form humorous pictures or groups of pictures in order to achieve the purpose of irony or praise. This is a painting with strong satire or sense of humor. Exaggeration, metaphor and symbol are often used to satirize, criticize or praise some people and things, which have strong sociality. There are also works purely for entertainment. There are often two kinds of entertainment works: funny and characterization (the author designs a virtual world and rules). Picture books are called picture books in English and hobbies in Japanese. When Chinese characters are used as traditional "picture books", as the name implies, they are "picture books". In other words, it refers to a kind of book with painting as the main part and a small amount of words. At present, the picture books on the market mainly focus on children, covering literature, education, popular science and so on. Jimmy, Qian Haiyan and other adult picture books are all picture book writers in recent years. Picture books can be traced back to China. It may be that the early Japanese used China's Buddhist scriptures (changing pictures) and Hokkekyo as picture books, which later developed into the present picture books. This term has appeared for about ten years, and picture books are actually picture books. In order to avoid confusion with books, I am used to using this term imported from Japan. Of course, there are adult picture books.
