China Exit Process and Procedures
1. Passport application: Take photos, ID cards and household registration books to the exit-entry office of the Public Security Bureau where the household registration is located to apply for a passport. 1 ~ 15 days is preferable.
2. apply for a visa: if you have a passport, you can apply for a visa at the embassy of the country where you plan to travel.
3. You can buy a plane ticket after you get your passport and visa.
4. It is recommended to determine the return itinerary in advance and buy a return ticket to print the receipt.
1. Passport processing flow:
1. Bring my ID card or household registration book to the exit-entry administration department of the local police station and public security county bureau to receive the Approval Form for China citizens to go abroad (territory) for personal reasons (hereinafter referred to as the "application form").
2. Fill in the application form.
3. Submit the application. When submitting an application, you must bring the following materials: the original ID card or household registration book, the first page of household registration book, my information page, change page and a copy of your ID card. Complete the original application form. A color photo that meets the requirements.
4. Get a passport. After accepting the application, the local entry-exit administration office takes 14 working days to approve, make and issue passports. When you get a passport, you must bring your ID card or residence booklet, get a passport "Receipt" and a 2 yuan fee.

The Ministry of Public Security and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs should strengthen communication and cooperation in the management of exit and entry affairs, and work closely with the relevant departments of the State Council, and exercise their functions and powers and assume responsibilities according to their respective responsibilities.
Article 4 Ordinary passports shall be issued by the exit-entry administration department of the Ministry of Public Security or the exit-entry administration department of the public security organ of the local people's government at or above the county level entrusted by the Ministry of Public Security, as well as other overseas institutions entrusted by Chinese embassies, consulates and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
