The most beautiful train tour route in China.
It takes more than 50 hours to travel from Guangzhou to Lhasa by train Z264. Although it is hard, it is indeed one of the most beautiful scenic railway lines in China. On the way, the Z264 train passed through the Pearl River Delta, mountainous areas in northern Guangdong, rural areas in Hunan, rural areas in Hubei, Central Plains, Qinling Mountains, Loess Plateau, Tanggula Snow Mountain, Hoh Xil, Naqu Prairie and other places, and saw almost all the terrain and scenery along the way.
Lhasa, referred to as "La" for short, is the capital of Xizang Autonomous Region, China, an international tourist city with plateau and ethnic characteristics, a political, economic, cultural, scientific and educational center of Tibet, and a holy place of Tibetan Buddhism. Located in the middle of Tibet Plateau, on the north side of Himalayas, at an altitude of 3650 meters (to prevent endogenous hypoxia), it is located in the valley plain in the middle reaches of Lhasa River, a tributary of Yarlung Zangbo River, where Lhasa River flows and joins Yarlung Zangbo River in the southern suburbs.
Z264 route position
Train Z264 passes through eight provinces (autonomous regions) including Guangdong, Hunan, Hubei, Henan, Shaanxi, Gansu, Qinghai and Tibet, and passes through eight provincial capital cities including Guangzhou, Changsha, Wuhan, Zhengzhou, xi, Lanzhou, Xining and Lhasa, with beautiful scenery all the way.
To say the most beautiful section, of course, is Xining to Lhasa, that is, the Qinghai-Tibet railway section. Starting from Golmud, you can enjoy the snow scene. Tanggula, Hoh Xil, nagqu grassland and Lhasa River all have beautiful scenery. It's a long way. If you have a friendly companion along the way, enjoy the scenery, chat, play cards and so on, time will pass quickly.
