The Australian ETA visa, or Electronic Travel Authority (subclass 601), is a tourist visa granted by the Australian government to some countries or regions with relatively simple passport application procedures. Currently, there are only 34 types of passports. You can apply for this type of Visa, including Hong Kong SAR passport, Taiwan passport, US passport, Canadian passport, etc. However, Macau SAR passport and Chinese passport cannot apply for ETA electronic visa.

Other passport holders must apply for a visa before leaving home. You can apply for a range of visas, including tourist visas and working holiday visas, at your nearest Australian embassy or consulate.

Types of tourist visas that can be applied for

This visa allows you to visit Australia multiple times within a year, with a maximum stay of three months each time. This visa is suitable for passport holders who live in countries and regions outside Australia. There is no charge for electronic tourist visa application, but there is a service fee of AUD$20 for online application.

3. Tourist visa

The tourist visa is designed for people who are not eligible to apply for eVisitor or electronic tourist visa. This visa allows you to visit Australia for tourism or business purposes and stay for up to three, six or 12 months. Applicants are required to pay a fee when submitting their application.
