Is it fun to travel in wucheng town, wucheng town?
There is an ancient town in Jiujiang, which consists of four small islands in Poyang Lake. It has a cultural history of more than 2000 years. It is a small town full of ancient flavor, and few people know it. Very quiet.
Wucheng town is located in the northeast of Yongxiu County, Jiujiang City, Jiangxi Province, which is close to Nanchang City, about 90 kilometers away. In fact, wucheng town was built on the north bank of Hexiu River, which is the county seat of Haifa. However, because a flood washed away the town, the town was rebuilt in a slightly better place on He Xiushan.
Therefore, there is also a saying in the local area that "wucheng town will be established after sinking into the sea". Its location is also a bit special, at the junction of Cao Zhou, so there are also rare wetlands and grasslands, about 600,000 mu, with a wide field of vision. There are many lakes and beaches in China, which are rich in fish and shrimp resources. It is one of the six major wetlands in China.
Most tourists who come here are photographers, and most of them choose to come in winter. Due to the good wetland environment in Poyang Lake, a large number of migratory birds come here to spend the winter and live in winter, because it is called "migratory bird paradise" in winter and is the habitat of world-famous migratory birds and white cranes.
People in Poyang Lake seldom catch birds now, which makes it well protected. Every year, migratory birds who come here for the winter can form a long queue, which is endless and spectacular, so it is also called "the second Great Wall of China" and "the eighth wonder of the world".
Wucheng town, located in the west branch of Poyang Lake, has been the most developed since ancient times with its unique traffic advantages. Song Dynasty mainly exported paper, salt, hemp and other commodities, which was a very important transshipment hub. During the Qianlong period of the Qing Dynasty, the economic development here reached the highest level, even surpassing Nanchang, the provincial capital, "Wu Cheng that can't be loaded, Wu Cheng that can't be unloaded".
Wucheng town also left many time-honored brands. In the Qing Dynasty, there were about dozens of firms in wucheng town, and some folk songs were circulated to praise the commercial development here. Among them, "tea merchants smoke wood" and "Jiaqing Daoguang, every family drinks honey" all refer to the types and richness of goods here.
Therefore, two yamen have been set up here, namely, the sub-yamen and the Senate Yamen. There are six military attache "Qian Zong" stationed here all the year round. Unfortunately, wucheng town has lost its former prosperity, and only those ancient buildings are still silently telling the history.
The most interesting building in wucheng town is the Guild Hall, which witnessed the whole process of wucheng town's commercial rise. There are many guilds here, about 50, with different architectural styles, exquisite and unique, which is the most beautiful scenery in wucheng town. Unfortunately, many buildings have been destroyed now. Ji 'an Guild Hall is the only Ming and Qing style building in this town, which is well preserved.
Visitors can also see the shops on both sides of the old street when they come here now. There are also many stone tablets next to the shop, as if to show people the stories of the past dynasties here. There are special snacks, especially wild fish heads, which are extremely delicious. It is said that wucheng town's fish heads are loose but not scattered, and the types of snacks also add different highlights here. Therefore, the saying that "eat in Wucheng and wear in Nanchang" has been circulating among the people.
