Where is Dongchu Island Scenic Area?

Dongchu Island Scenic Area is a national AAA-level tourist attraction.

Dongchu Island Scenic Area is located in the easternmost part of Shidao Management Zone in Rongcheng City, Weihai. It is named as a famous Chinese historical and cultural village, a traditional ancient village in China and a national ecological and cultural village. Dongchudao Village was founded in the Wanli period of Ming Dynasty, which has many ancient historical sites, folklore and fishermen's folk customs, and has distinctive marine cultural characteristics. There are 650 seagrass houses in the village, which is one of the most intact villages in Jiaodong area and is known as the living specimen of ecological residence. The coastline of the scenic spot is 10 km long, surrounded by the sea on three sides and connected with the land on one side. The island has a pleasant climate, four distinct seasons, abundant sunshine, abundant precipitation, no cold in winter, no heat in summer, warm in spring and cool in autumn, which is the most suitable place for human habitation and leisure vacation. The scenic spots are mainly coastal leisure, ethnic customs, history and culture. The scenic spot is divided into seaweed house viewing garden, village memory hall, fishing experience area, romantic beach leisure area, sea fishing picking experience area, ocean ranch experience hall, fisherman's music special dining area, seaweed house accommodation experience and many other special experience items and humanistic and historical resources.
