Guiping City, located in the southeast of Guangxi, belongs to Guigang City, and has long been the resident of the state capital (called Zhou Xun). Guiping has a long history. Qin and Han Dynasties belonged to Guilin County. Since the Southern and Northern Dynasties, Liang Dynasty was established along Guiping. 1May 1994, with the approval of the State Council, the county was withdrawn and a city was established, with a total area of 4,073 square kilometers and a total population of160,000.

Guiping City is one of the first tourist areas approved by the State Council to open to the outside world. It has three national scenic spots, namely Xishan, Longtan and jintian uprising, and a number of rich and diverse natural and cultural tourism resources, such as Datengxia and Dongta. These scenic spots have their own characteristics and their own systems. Together, they constitute the Guiping tourist area with unique local characteristics and have high development value.
