What are the travel strategies and precautions in Northwest China?

The following are the daily necessities and some precautions of my last trip to the northwest, hoping to help you:

Documents: ID card, student ID card, military officer ID card, etc.

Moisturizing: moisturizing lotion, mask, lip balm, hand cream, hydrating spray, hydrating sleep mask (highly recommended). The climate there is dry, and friends who have never been to the north should remember to moisturize!

Sun protection: sunscreen, hat, sunglasses and shawl are all for sun protection and handsome!

Cash: prepare a small amount of cash. Although convenient payment is basically popular in northwest China, it is still needed in some small places.

Coat: 2-3 coats worn in February and August. The temperature difference between morning and evening in northwest China is particularly large. Remember to keep warm.

Clothing: Take some long sleeves and short sleeves, and just prepare some pants (ps: If you want to take good-looking photos in salt lakes and deserts, you must bring a red skirt. )

Shoes: You can bring a pair of white shoes and a pair of sports shoes, so that you can take pictures correctly.

Socks: Prepare 7-8 pairs. When walking outside, socks are really easy to get dirty by the wind and sand, because I am too lazy to wash them. I basically wear a pair and throw a pair.

Sandals or shoe covers: both salt lake and desert can be rented, but the effect is not good when taking pictures. The shoe covers rented in salt lake are not waterproof. I suggest you buy a beautiful waterproof shoe cover online, which can also be used in the desert. If you don't want to wear it in the desert, you can walk barefoot, but when you go back, your shoes are full of sand.

Medicines: Although there are fewer altitude sickness in northwest China, just in case, we should prepare some rhodiola oral liquid (to be drunk one week in advance), American ginseng buccal tablets, cold medicine, band-aid and masks.

Diet: Because most of the travel time is on the road, it is recommended to prepare some dry food and fruit, but try to drink less water, so it is not convenient for girls to go to the toilet.

About car rental: We are looking for a small car rental company in Zhu Fei, which is not recommended. Still suggest a big platform, which is guaranteed in all aspects.

If you take the 3 18 Sichuan-Tibet line from Chengdu to Lhasa, in addition to the car rental fee, there is also a high return fee of 1w+.

If you drive back to Chengdu from Lhasa and go 3 18 in the opposite direction, there is no difference in fare.

Epidemic prevention policy in Lhasa, Tibet;

In the provinces without local cases, the personnel entering Tibet need to report the nucleic acid test and the provinces with confirmed cases in the green code within 72 hours.

Personnel entering Tibet need to report nucleic acid test within 48 hours+green code. Personnel in high-risk areas will be suspended from entering Tibet. At present, Tibet is a low-risk area, and they will not be isolated when they go back!

Mode of transportation to Tibet:

Plane: The airports commonly used in Tibet: the flights from Lhasa Gongga Airport are at high altitude, and those from Linzhi Milin Airport are at low altitude. Most provincial capital cities have direct flights to Lhasa, among which Chengdu, Chongqing and Xi 'an have more direct flights. When entering Tibet, you can choose the window position on the left to avoid the flank. When the weather is fine, you can see Nange Baba volcano.

Train: It is easier to adapt to the anti-Tibet mode, the Qinghai-Tibet Railway. Take a train from Xining to Lhasa. The most beautiful scenery is past Golmud Station, over Kunlun Mountain and into Hoh Xil Nature Reserve. It's only daytime in Golmud.

Self-driving: 3 18 Sichuan-Tibet line, Yunnan-Tibet line, Qinghai-Tibet line and Xinjiang-Tibet line. Most people choose the first two.

Watch out for the pit: Don't buy dried yak meat on the roadside, most of them are from fake beef! You must bargain when buying souvenirs, the water is super heavy! Go to a clearly marked restaurant to avoid being slaughtered after eating. Don't go to the plateau after a cold, you will have trouble with pulmonary edema. Don't take a bath two days before you arrive in the western Sichuan Plateau, which may easily cause high reaction! Beware of the low-priced group! ! Drag you to the designated place to eat, go to the toilet, buy local products and so on. , may cost more! These are some problems and preventive measures that I selected from my previous trip to the Great Northwest Link. Of course, it is not comprehensive enough. You can leave me a message if you need anything, try to solve your doubts and avoid unnecessary problems.
