Located in the southeast of Tibet, in the lower reaches of Yarlung Zangbo River, in the east of Himalayan Mountains, on the south slope of Gangrigabu Mountains, it is connected to Chayu County in the east, India in the south (some areas are in southern Tibet), Milin County, Zi Long County and Cuona County in the west, and bomi county and Bayi District in the north, with a total area of 34,000 square kilometers (1.2000 square kilometers actually controlled by China).
