2017 Hokkaido 6-day travel guide
Hokkaido is located in the northern part of Japan. It snows all year round and has very good ice and snow elements. Here you can get closer to nature, and Hokkaido’s food is also quite rich. You can choose food to taste according to your own taste. Below is a guide for 6 days in Hokkaido in 2017.
Itinerary
Sapporo 6-day flight, starting from Sapporo, there are many places to visit in Hokkaido. In the middle of winter, take the classic route south and visit the snowy wilderness in the north (exaggeration). ), or finding a resort to ski and soak in hot springs are good choices. Although I have been to Hakodate at the southern end of Hokkaido before (in spring), this time I wanted to experience Lake Onuma in winter (although it is a small attraction and very close to Hakodate at the southern end of Hokkaido, this is the biggest purpose of my trip) , had a classic trip to Daonan. As shown below:
D1, New Chitose Airport, Sapporo (Hokkaido Prefecture, Beaver Road), live in Sapporo.
D2 Sapporo (Hokkaido University), Asahi Zoo, living in Sapporo.
D3 Otaru, lives in Lake Toya.
D4 Hakodate Onumako Park, living in Lake Toya.
D5 Sapporo (Clock Tower, Hokkaido Shrine, White Lover Factory) lives in Sapporo.
D6 Sapporo (Nakajima Park), New Chitose Airport
If you have never been to Hokkaido before and are traveling from Sapporo to and from Sapporo this time, it is recommended to stay in Hakodate for one day and one night to experience Hakodate The night view of the mountain (as crowded as domestic Golden Week scenic spots). If you have limited time, you can stay in Lake Toya or Asahikawa (it takes a day to see penguins in the zoo). There is also a classic check-in point on the south road to Hell Valley. This time, I gave up. In short, traveling is a matter of your own choice based on your own time and preferences.
Transportation
Hainan Airlines’ flight from Hangzhou to Sapporo (let’s fly), the round-trip price of 1,500 yuan including tax during the ice and snow season is quite good.
Traffic in Japan mainly relies on the Hokkaido Rail Pass, which costs 22,000 yen. It is worth mentioning that starting last year, you can reserve tickets for designated seats in advance on the JR-EAST official website, and then after applying for travel tickets at the airport, you can pick up the tickets directly for free. (Japanese railways are divided into designated seats and free seats. Each person has a designated seat with a ticket, and the free seats are first come, first served. In the past, you could only draw tickets for designated seats with your travel ticket after arriving in Japan. Popular lines may not have tickets. Tickets. Of course, you can get on or off at will with free seats.) For the Sapporo-Hakodate route, it is recommended to reserve a designated seat in advance because it is popular and the time is not short. It will be more depressing if there is no seat. I had booked all the tickets at that time. If I have this intention, I will plan the trip and book the tickets. With a travel pass, even if you change your itinerary temporarily, you can still go to the foreign service office of the train station to change to a designated seat or go directly to a free seat, which is very convenient. Of course, remember to return the tickets you booked before to the staff so they can resell them.
Hokkaido Rail Pass official website: /railpass/rail01.html (This ticket can be purchased directly at the Foreign Tourist Information Office on the 1st floor of the airport with your passport)
JR-EAST official website: 3358 www .jreast.co.jp/sc/ (Reserve designated seats on this website. After buying the tour ticket, just go to the airport to pick up the ticket from the same staff. The official website has specific operating instructions in Chinese. The only thing you need to pay attention to is The station names are all in English. For example, Sapporo is Sapporo, and Hakodate is Hakodate. If you don’t know the English name of a station, please search it yourself)
The travel voucher can be used for this trip. Most of the traffic. If transportation is within the city, Sapporo relies on subways and trams, while Hakodate mainly relies on trams. You have to pay money to get on and off the tram, but in Otaru it's mainly about your legs. There is also a connection between Toyako Train Station and Toyako Hot Spring. It is recommended to take the bus (at http://donanbus.co.jp/kougai/, you can check the bus timetable and reasonably arrange the arrival and departure time of the train based on the bus timetable. When I went there, the itinerary on the travel bag was wrong , I don’t know if there is any update now). If you choose to take a taxi, the taxi prices in Japan are really impressive (I once took a taxi and the fare was 600). Clothing
It’s not that cold. Maybe I didn’t encounter it when it was cold. A thick fleece/sweater jacket is acceptable for the upper body, and long johns or ordinary pants are acceptable for the lower body. It is best to wear non-slip and waterproof shoes, because it will be ice and snow, especially if you wear a hat. Sunglasses. When the snow is all white, you are really snow-blind.
Current Location: There is plenty of food at the departure level of New Chitose Airport (Japan Airport). The price of food at the train station is the same as that in the city). There is famous Japanese ramen on the JR-TOWER near Sapporo train station, and the Boyo area in the city center (called Kabukicho in Hokkaido, did you know) There are also many delicious foods. Otsuka recommends eating at the famous Liu Hua Restaurant. If you are interested in eating, it is recommended to do some homework online in advance.
If you want to bring some snacks back, it is recommended. Go to the third floor of Domestic Departures at New Chitose Airport. There is basically everything. Please note that some items cannot pass the security check and must be checked before the security check. There will be no shops.
Food
This trip is almost like buying a ticket and leaving (booked a ticket for February 11th and left on the 15th). I found that it is quite expensive to book accommodation temporarily during the ice and snow season (even in time for the Asian Winter Games). The booking result for 3 nights in Sapporo and 2 nights at Lake Toya is an average of 1,000 yuan per night. The condition is good (because the cheap ones are gone). Especially the Grand Toya Hotel. Although it is a bit old, it has a lake view and a strong Showa style. The breakfast and dinner are very rich (pictured below). There is a hot spring bath before and after the meal, which is very comfortable.
Accommodation
I didn’t buy anything except snacks, but Sapporo should have everything. Domestic banks do not need to exchange too many yen, and they basically support credit cards (UnionPay may not work in some places, it is best to get a MasterCard, VISA or JCB), and many places also support Alipay and WeChat payment.
D1 Sapporo, New Chitose Airport
Take off early in the morning and land at New Chitose Airport around noon (HNA’s food is not praised). Although Sapporo is not as good as several major cities in Japan's Honshu, New Chitose Airport is the third airport in Japan in terms of throughput due to its strong tourism industry (the first and second places are both dissatisfied by Tokyo). New Chitose Airport is the busiest airport I have ever been to. In addition to plenty of restaurants and shops, there are even amusement parks, movie theaters, and spas. The domestic 3F has the Hokkaido Ramen Dojo (Ume Hironobu is recommended), the Chinese and foreign 3F has the Smile Road, with Doraemon Land and Royce Chocolate Factory on both sides, which is very suitable for children.

After purchasing and collecting the tour ticket at the Foreign Service Center on the first floor, you can take the Airport Line directly to Sapporo. It takes about 30 minutes.
Sapporo should be a city with forced planning. The roads in the main city are all horizontal and vertical, with simple and crude names. With Datong Park as the center, each road is called North 1 East 3, or South 2 West 4 etc. Very easy to find.
The two most popular places in Sapporo are near the station and Boyo (or Shinjuku, Hokkaido). These two places, one in the north and one in the south, are connected through the north and south, through Datong Park, and there is also a long connecting passage underground. Sapporo's major businesses and hotels can be accessed directly from the ground through this passage, which is very convenient on snowy days. Our hotel is near the old lobby in Hokkaido. After dinner let's go for a walk.
There are many ancient guild halls and Western-style buildings in Hokkaido.
In the evening, I went for a walk in the wilderness. I originally wanted to eat the famous Genghis Khan BBQ, but there were a lot of people in line. It is recommended not to try it easily without a certain amount of perseverance at this temperature. Then I randomly found some curry rice, which was pretty good. Beaver Road Commercial Street, also near Boye, is full of buyers who were killed in China.

Asahikawa D2
Before leaving for Asahikawa, I went to Hokkaido University near the station. If the main streets in downtown Sapporo weren't covered in snow, the snow on the university campus would be very impressive. Southerners who had never seen such heavy snow were stunned for a moment. There was even a couple taking wedding photos wearing tulle in the cold wind, as if they were from China.

Asahikawa Zoo is a very close zoo. All the animals can be observed very close, which is very sweet. It's well worth traveling the distance to see the zoo. The flagship program of Asahikawa Zoo is the Penguin Walk (cute). A group of businesses are swaying outside, and visitors can observe them from a distance of 0 on both sides. There are two shows a day in winter and only one show at other times. Make sure to check the time on the official website to avoid missing it.

3 DAY3 Otaru Cave Yehu
It takes about 40 minutes to take the Sapporo train to Otaru. There are so many trains, almost everywhere.
Otaru is a very historical town, and the movie "Love Letter" was filmed here. But when we arrived, it started snowing and it was overcast. It's not pretty. But Otaru is much more delicious, so it doesn’t matter.
Walk along the canal to the intersection of Fairy Tale, where Letao, Liu Hua Pavilion and North Seventh Floor are all gathered here. On the second floor of Letao, you can sit down and order a black tea cheese set. Letao's cheesecake, Liuhuating's grape sandwich biscuits, Beiguolou's puffs, and cantaloupe jelly (produced in Xizhang, are you a boat girl?) are all their classic products. Don't miss them when passing by.
Letao’s cheesecake
Beiguolou’s puffs are appetizing just by looking at them.
I tried steamed sushi for lunch. It is a famous sushi restaurant in Otaru. There are almost 3 stores away. To queue up is a bit exaggerated.
Sushi Feast
Another specialty of Otaru is saltpeter (glass) products. There are many saltpeter shops (the big saltpeter shop has three branches on the road). There are a wide variety of saltpeter products here, most of them are Western-style, and the prices are very impressive.

After returning to Sapporo from Otaru, I rushed to Higashino non-stop. It was already dark when I arrived at the hotel. Toya Hotel gives people a strong (old) feeling of the Showa era, and the sumptuous dinner given by the waiter was really a surprise. It is recommended that you choose half board, which includes breakfast and dinner. If you want to book a hot spring hotel in Japan or other platforms, you can have a better experience. After dinner, I went to a hot spring and fell asleep.

Educational toys were also provided in the room, and I spelled out all the patterns.
D4 Jozhao Park Hakodate
When I woke up in the morning, on the main road (the only way) of Lake Toya Hot Spring Town, passing vehicles brought flying snow all over the sky. The Lake Toya mentioned in "Let's Go for It" by the Harvard academic master is the feeling of the end of the world. At that moment, I felt a little bit too.
Higashinoko Town
Unable to stop at Lake Toya, I hurried to Onuma Park. Onuma Park is a 24-kilometer-long lake formed by the eruption of Mount Komatsu in northern Hakodate. Islands of all sizes are dotted here and there. It is one of the three major landscapes of New Japan. I've been there once before in the spring. At that time, I was amazed to see the photos of Omnuma Park in winter. I am silently planting grass in my heart, planning to come back in winter. Today my wish finally came true, the weather was kind. When we arrived at Everglades Park, the weather cleared up, and the blue sky that we hadn’t seen for a long time reflected the endless white snow on Everglades Lake. It's really beautiful. I felt very comfortable walking on deep snow off the beaten path and along the hiking trails that connect the many trails on Everglades Lake. Without further ado, let me post a few more pictures. Showing two comparative photos of Everglades Lake in spring and winter from the same angle. The original lake surface has turned into ice and is covered with snow (Lake Toya, which is further north than the Great Marsh Lake, is an ice-free lake).

Before going to Hakodate, I revisited the old place tour. It only takes 20 minutes to get to Hakodate Park. The original intention of going to Hakodate was to go to Mount Hakodate and overlook Hakodate on a snowy day (usually we go to Mount Hakodate to see the night view, but our trip was to go back to Higashino at night). God knows, the sunny day suddenly turned into a blizzard, and the visibility was suddenly reduced to more than 10 meters. Standing at the intersection, I couldn't even see across the street. I simply returned to Dongye in advance, stayed comfortably in the hotel, and ran around.
It is snowing at the Kanamori Red Brick Warehouse at the foot of Mount Hakodate, with Mount Hakodate looming in the distance.
Come closer, where is your sister’s mountain?
Storms and blizzards.
Hakodate, which is closed due to heavy snow, faces the market.
On the way back to Dongye, it cleared up again, and the scenery outside the train window was still the same.
Attached is the million-dollar night view of Mt. Hakodate, which has nothing to do with this trip. Taken last time.
D5 Tokyo Sapporo
I finally had time to relax in Lake Toya during the day. Lake Toya is a volcanic freshwater lake with a diameter of about 10 kilometers. It is the northernmost ice-free lake in Japan. It is a famous hot spring resort in Japan, with various hot spring hotels around the lake.
Shimada Shoji's history of using bamboo in "Northern Yuzuru 2/3 Murder Case" seems to be because there are too many hotels in Lake Toya. It was difficult to find my wife's hotel.
Just walking around the lake. The lake and the mountains in it are covered with snow in the sun. It's very comfortable to sit by the lake. After staying for half a day, I returned to Sapporo at noon after hotel company.

Special Super Beidou! Return to Sapporo
At noon, we experienced a Japanese train lunch on the train.
After returning to Sapporo for half a day, I visited the Sapporo Clock Tower, Hokkaido Shrine, and the White Couple Factory. If I don’t know how to write, I will post pictures.

D6 Sapporo Return
On the last day, I went to Nakajima Park in the south of Sapporo in the morning, returned to the hotel to pack my luggage, and headed to New Chitose Airport. The 6-day trip ended successfully. Looking back now, I still feel full and fulfilled. I really hope to experience another different Hokkaido in another season of ice and snow on the vast and humid plains in the eastern part of the country.
The Feng Ping Pavilion in Zhongdao Park is another Western building. There are a large number of Western-style buildings in Sapporo, Otaru, and Hakodate in Hokkaido.
In Zhongdao Park, the island is gone, the lake is gone, it’s all snow.
