Putuo Mountain Guide for a day of free travel
Today, I would like to introduce to you the most famous scenic spot in Zhoushan - Putuo Mountain Scenic Area. This Putuo Mountain, known as one of the four famous Buddhist mountains, is the only famous Buddhist mountain standing on the sea. It is the dojo of Guanyin Bodhisattva.
We drove for ten minutes at 6:30 and arrived at the Zhujiajian Tourist Distribution Center, which is the dock for taking the ship to Mount Putuo. The parking lot is very large. As for where to park, it depends entirely on the traffic controllers. There are different opinions on parking fees. Some say 5 yuan/hour, but the hotel parking lot where we parked charges 8 yuan/hour.
After the security check, you will find the Passenger Distribution Center. You can purchase round-trip boat tickets and Putuo Mountain tickets through the on-site official QR code/ticket office, which totals 220 yuan. There are many boat trips, so you can basically queue up and get on the boat. The drive is also very slow during the process. If you are seasick, you can choose the middle location. You will arrive at Putuoshan Pier in about 10 minutes.
There are many temples in Mount Putuo, and they vary in years. You can choose to visit the four most representative attractions in one day, including Huiji Temple, Fayu Temple, Puji Temple, and Nanhai Guanyin (Purple Bamboo Forest).
The first stop is Huiji Temple. It is the farthest temple from the pier. It costs 10 yuan to take the scenic bus to get there. It is not recommended to walk. It is estimated to take 1 and a half hours. When we arrived at the foot of the temple, we purchased a round-trip ropeway for 70 yuan/person and arrived directly at Huiji Temple. To enter the temple, you need cash to buy fragrant flower coupons, 5 yuan/person, and Nanhai Guanyin is 6 yuan/person. Huiji Temple is said to be the most efficacious temple in Putuo. You can bring your own incense, and it cannot be burned all. You can come back to fulfill your wish when it comes true. After visiting the Main Hall and Guanyin Hall, there is a viewing platform where you can take a rest.
The second stop, Fayu Temple, is still arrived by scenic bus. Fayu Temple is surrounded by camphor trees. There is a large fountain outside Fayu Temple with some small koi and turtles in it. I bought peace charms and bracelets from the Fayu Temple's ritual objects department. The workmanship and quality are very good. Peace charms are RMB 10 each, and small-leaf red sandalwood bracelets are RMB 10.
The third stop is Puji Temple. The commercial atmosphere around Puji Temple is relatively strong and there are many shops. It is a temple that developed relatively early. You can have lunch here, vegetarian buffet or order food. , Suzhai did a great job. The most impressive thing in Puji Temple is the golden statue of Guanyin, which is very magnificent. There is a Baizitang near Puji Temple where you can go and pay homage.
The fourth stop, Nanhai Guanyin (Purple Bamboo Forest), is a 10-minute walk from Puji Temple. This is the landmark of Putuo Mountain. The Nanhai Guanyin statue can be seen from a distance, which makes people feel solemn.
All the itineraries are relatively compact at the end of the day, and it is almost 17:00 when we return to the Zhujiajian Tourist Distribution Center. Overall, it was very fulfilling, and I could see friends from all over the country. I was also very pious and had a three-step, one-button approach. As for donating to the merit box, it all depends on your own heart.
