What is it like to live in Dubai?

The real Dubai is a polarized city. The locals are indeed living a good and wealthy life (they have welfare policies specifically targeted at locals), but most of the population is foreign. (Bangladeshis, Indonesians, etc.), many Chinese who work live in the Dragon City area.

I interviewed two Chinese people living in Dubai, one of whom brought Dubai to do business in his parents’ generation. She told me that there are many businesses there that require local people to act as guarantors. The guarantor does not have to do anything, but he still has to pay him a sum of money because the business cannot be done without him.

Let’s talk about other places:

1. The working days in Dubai are from Sunday to Thursday, with Fridays and Saturdays off

2 , except marrying a Dubai native, there seems to be no other way to immigrate.

3. There are indeed many luxury cars on the road, but buying a car in Dubai is cheaper than in China. For example, if you spend 2 million yuan in China, you may only need 700,000 to 800,000 yuan here. To put it concretely, going to school to drop off a child feels like going to a car show.

4. From the outside, women are given priority in everything, but in reality, of course, it is a male-dominated society.

5. It is still more cost-effective to buy big-name products, but skin care products are not available.

6. Generally speaking, taxis come from Toyota or Honda. There is no exaggeration in domestic marketing saying that they are all from BMW and Mercedes-Benz, and you need to make a reservation in advance.
