I'm going to Singapore for a self-help tour. I'm here to ask some questions.

No more than 14 working days, that is, no rest time. First of all, the basic necessities of life

Clothing: it belongs to tropical climate, warm and humid. The average temperature at noon is 30.8 degrees. Lightweight summer clothes are more suitable for the local climate, and they are more casual to wear in informal occasions, but you must bring long pants.

Gourmet: Singapore is a multi-ethnic country, and the diet is more expensive. Because there are more people in China, everyone can find their favorite food. Drinking water: The water quality in Singapore is clean and safe, so it can be drunk raw, and tourists can drink it without boiling.

Live: The hotel industry in Singapore is particularly developed, from high to low, everything is available, almost to the point of three-step hotel and five-step hotel! The service level of hotels is usually higher and the price is more expensive, which can be said to be the most expensive in Southeast Asia. Hotels are divided into high, medium and flat prices. There are many tourists, and when the hotel is full, if you want to stay in a sky-high hotel room, you have to pay sky-high prices. In the off-season, big hotels will offer big discounts. Mid-priced hotels have the same discount as cheap hotels, but the discount is very small, while the price of low-priced hotels is very stable. Because the three-dimensional traffic is convenient, you can choose to stay in a hotel near the subway exit. If you like shopping, you can also choose to live in Orchard Road.

Raffles Hotel, the most famous hotel in Asia, is located on the banks of the Singapore River.

Ok: If you stay for a long time, you can consider buying an ez-Link card. The fare is S $ 15 (including 5 yuan deposit). You can take the subway or bus. The balance and deposit can be refunded before leaving Singapore. There is also a tourist card, which not only has the function of ez-Link card, but also enjoys the benefits of tickets, accommodation, shopping and so on.

1. Subway: It consists of three lines: East-West (EW), North-South (NS) and Northeast (NE). The fare starts from 0.8 yuan, and the business hours are 5: 30- 12: 30, every 3-8 minutes.

2. Public transportation: Ordinary public transportation starts from 0.7 yuan and air-conditioned public transportation starts from 0.8 yuan. You can pay automatically. Remember to pick up the tickets at the ticket gate.

3. Taxi: The taxi in the urban area is generally Crown 2.0, which takes off from 2.4 yuan, adding 0. 1 yuan for every 225m, calling 3 yuan, and getting a 50% discount from midnight to 6: 00am; Taxis at the airport are generally Mercedes-Benz, starting from the airport and adding 3 yuan, and adding 5 yuan from 5 pm to midnight from Friday to Sunday.

4. Tourist buses

Adult Singapore dollar14.9; Children Singapore dollar 7 yuan. Service time: 9: 00- 16: 30.

The sightseeing bus in Singapore has a strange shape and looks like an old coal car. The driving routes include: Colonial Administrative District, Central Business District, Chinatown, World Trade Center, Orchard Road, Tanjung Pagoda, Singapore River, Raffles Hotel, Clark Pier, Binhai District and other areas. The bus will stop at major hotels and interesting attractions, and the route is convenient, easy to identify and find. Currency and exchange rate The current ratio of SGD to RMB is 1: 5. It's easy to exchange Singapore dollars locally, and Indian change can be seen everywhere, but the exchange rate of each change is slightly different. You might as well go around and compare it.

Singapore's laws are absolutely meticulous, and the following clauses need special attention: 1. Don't litter, it will lead to a huge fine. 2. Don't carry durian by public transport, which will lead to huge fines. If you really want to bring it, remember to wrap it tightly. Don't eat, drink or smoke on the subway, which will lead to huge fines. 4. Don't download illegally, you will be dragged out and whipped. Singapore self-help tour (starting from Shanghai) Author: cali 1979 Comments Return

I made an appointment with my friends to visit Singapore and share the experience of this trip with you.

I. Visa

We chose our own visa. The address of the Singapore Consulate is No.89 Wanshan Road, Shanghai (near Loushanguan Road). You can take Metro Line 2 to Hong Song Road and get off at Loushanguan Road. Go south from Yanlou Mountain View Road 10~ 15 minutes.

Visa time: Monday to Friday from 8: 30 to 1 1: 30, and visa collection time: Monday to Friday from 15: 30 to16: 30;

Materials to be prepared: passport issued by Shanghai: 1 2-inch color photo with white background, application form 1 piece (available for on-site collection or online download), passport (valid for more than half a year), 102 RMB (with 2 yuan change);

Passport of other provinces and cities: 1 2-inch color photo with white background, application form 1 piece (available for on-site collection or online download), passport (valid for more than half a year), 102 RMB (with 2 yuan change), original and photocopy of household registration book, and proof of employment and income in Shanghai;

Usually you can get a visa the next afternoon. Generally, Shanghai passports are two-year multiple-entry visas, while others are 35-day multiple-entry visas.

Experience: Friends who can't speak English don't have to worry about how to fill out the visa application form. There is a template in the window of the consulate. Just fill it out. My friend didn't prepare the household registration book when she applied, but the staff accepted her visa application and didn't read the household registration book when she got the visa. I wonder if everyone has such good luck. Visa application is actually very convenient. I suggest you do it yourself.

Second, air tickets.

We booked a round-trip ticket through Ctrip. However, it is not an open ticket, so the price is cheaper. For the departure time, we need round-trip air tickets of China Eastern Airlines, Shanghai-Singapore 10: 40, Singapore-Shanghai 10: 10.

Experience: If it's not a particularly busy season, air tickets can be booked later. A few days later, the price of the air ticket we booked a week in advance dropped by 80 yuan/piece. You can also book directly from the airline, which is slightly more expensive. It is said that SIA's on-board facilities and diet are better, but SIA's flight time is earlier. How to choose depends on personal circumstances.

Third, hotels.

Originally, we wanted to book air tickets and hotel packages through mango net, but when we booked online, we said that there were no air tickets and the hotel we wanted to book was gone. But in fact, through our own reservation, we have booked both air tickets and hotels, but the price is more expensive than the online quotation, so I guess the network deliberately said nothing because of the loss, but still allowed you to book, strongly condemning mango net's behavior.

PS。 I later tried to book a Shanghai hotel through mango net and was told that there was no room. Similarly, I also contacted the hotel directly to make a reservation. I would like to remind all friends who want to try to book a room in mango net to be careful.

Anyway, the hotel we booked is Atrium Holiday Hotel, a four-star hotel. We chose this hotel because we believe in the quality of vacation, because many friends wrote on the Internet that the hotel standards in Singapore are somewhat uneven.

Book directly through their website, or you can call. The room rate varies with time. For example, we booked two nights on Friday and Saturday 183 Singapore dollars for one night and 243 nights on Sunday (including breakfast), and we have to pay 16.65% tax.

There is a Travelhotel website. There are many hotels to choose from. You can go and see for yourself.

Experience: I won't say much about this. Everyone's requirements are different, but we should compare and choose a company with good reputation.

4. Enter Singapore Airport

Except Singapore Airlines, Malaysia Airlines, Air Canada and other airlines, all other airlines landed at the 1 terminal. After entering the country, you can take a taxi directly to the hotel, or you can transfer to the free Skytrain (follow the signs) and then transfer to the subway. This transfer is clearly marked in both Chinese and English, so it should not be a problem.

Remember to bring a free map of Singapore when you leave the airport, which is very helpful for traveling (especially for free travel).

5. Subway, bus and taxi

Subway: you can buy a one-time bus ticket directly by coin, or you can buy et (multiple round-trip ticket). Similar to the Shanghai bus card, this card can also be used on buses. The ticket vending machine sells one-time tickets, and each ticket contains a deposit of 1 SGD. Remember to put the ticket back in the ticket vending machine and get the deposit back when you leave the station. In addition, banknotes or coins below 5 yuan should be prepared, and large banknotes are not accepted on the ticket vending machine.

The stored-value card should be purchased in the manual window, which contains the non-refundable deposit of 5 yuan. However, when you take a bus, you can get a bigger, more convenient and more convenient fare, such as a coin-operated fare of S $0.9, and if you use a card, you only need S $0.65. And it only costs S $0.25 to transfer to the No.2 bus. But there is no discount for taking the subway. If you stay in Singapore for a long time, it is more economical to buy this kind of ticket.

Bus: If coin is used, the starting price of ordinary air-conditioned buses is S $0.9, and there will be signs at each bus stop to tell you how much it costs. In addition, the bus stop signs in Singapore are all in English. If you don't know English, you must be fully prepared, or ask passers-by waiting at the bus stop, or ask the driver how to get on the bus. The name of the Singapore stop sign is named after the street you are driving. On the other hand, there are signs on the right that tell you about landmarks or horizontal roads. Actually, it's very convenient to take the bus. There is not much traffic jam in the local area, and the driving speed is faster. It should be noted that you must ring the bell before getting off, otherwise the car will not stop. If you use a stored-value card, you have to swipe your card when you get on and off the bus. Just like taking the subway, the system will automatically deduct the money according to the length of your ride. If you forget to swipe your card when you get off the bus, you will be charged the full fare.

Taxi: there is a special taxi waiting point in the city, and you can queue up to get on the bus. The starting price of taxis is S $2.4, some S $2.5 and some S $2.6, which varies according to different models. Ordinary taxis are Toyota and Mercedes-Benz. However, there is a lot of surcharge for taxis. For example, there is a surcharge of S $5 for taking a taxi from the airport, and there is also a surcharge during busy hours. We made two phone calls there, one was only 1.4 km, and the charge was S $6, and the other was just over 20 km from the hotel to the factory,1S $7.4. So I personally suggest that you don't need to take a taxi unless you get lost.

Sixth, diet

Most of our meals for a few days were solved in the big era. The cost of a meal for one person is about S $5 (excluding drinks). The food at the airport is a bit expensive, but generally 10 can be eaten well. If you go to a restaurant, the cost will be higher, about 50~ 100 Singapore dollars for two people. This depends on your choice.

Seven, shopping

Singapore is a shopping paradise. You can find whatever you like, whether it's luxury goods or general products. Needless to say, orchard road. Robinson Shopping Center near Francis Blackwell Forbes is also good. As long as you spend more than S $ 100 in a shopping mall, as long as the shopping mall participates in the tax refund, you can get different amounts of tax refund. Tell me about my own shopping experience. If you want to buy skin care products and colorful clothes, it is suggested that you reserve 1~2 hours to buy them at the airport duty-free shop when you fly home, which is about 30% cheaper than the duty-free shops in the city, and the goods are relatively complete. The most exaggerated thing I remember is seeing a bottle of LA MER's 500ml cream. The price is about S $2,090, which is about RMB 10600. Is it 1.5 or 20,000 in China? Enough money for air tickets and hotels. It's just that I suffered this time. I bought a lot in the city. I was dizzy when I saw the price at the airport. The loss of a bottle of things was 8~ 10 Singapore dollars. There is no careful comparison between tobacco and alcohol, but it is certainly not a loss to buy it at the airport. Luxury brands such as LV or watches equivalent to several thousand yuan are recommended to buy in the city. On the one hand, the styles and goods are new and complete, on the other hand, you can enjoy tax refund. However, you can also go to several stores to compare, and the prices of products of the same brand and style are different in various shopping malls. It is good to buy clothes in shopping malls, but the prices of different brands will be different, which is generally cheaper than domestic ones. Robinson was having a sale when I went. Many men's T-shirts and shirts only cost about S $20 (including famous brands such as Camel Active). If you want to buy Clarks shoes, don't miss it. The original price of buying them there is about S $ 150, which is more than half cheaper than that in China. Nevertheless, the price of jewelry and golf equipment is about half or 70% that of China. My friend is very familiar with golf equipment. According to her comparison, a set of golf equipment that sells more than 9,000 in China is more than 4,000. Finally, I have to mention small souvenirs, many of which are chic and inexpensive. Buy what you like when you see it, because if you miss other places, many things will be gone. Recommend souvenir shops in botanical gardens and museums. The price is reasonable.
