In which city is the north-south boundary pillar of China?
China North-South Geographical Boundary Monument Park is located on both sides of the ancient Huaihe River on the east side of Huaihai North Road, Huai 'an City, Jiangsu Province. According to the plan, the whole sign garden consists of four parts: theme memorial square, urban tourist reception area, public leisure area and cultural and educational base. Construction began in August 2008. For a long time, the Qinling-Huaihe line has also been regarded as the natural dividing line between the north and the south of China.
As a famous historical and cultural city with both North and South characteristics, Huai 'an City considers it logical to build China North-South Geographical Indications Park here, becoming the first city to build North-South Geographical Indications.

The marker on the dividing line will be built together with an old historic pier in Huai 'an (the planned "Red Bridge"). This bridge was built in 1930s and witnessed the vicissitudes of Huai 'an. The markers on the dividing line will be integrated with the old pier with certain historical significance, adding more urban characteristics and deepening cultural connotation.
The "appearance" of the marker is a sphere, which is located in the middle between Hongqiao and the center line of the river. Taking the sphere as the matrix, it is divided into two hemispheres, the north side is getting cooler and the south side is getting warmer, which means the climate characteristics of the north and south on the earth. Pedestrians can cross the ball and feel the sensory changes across the north-south climate zone.
