I. Laozhanggou

Laozhanggou is located in Guyuan County, Zhangjiakou City, Hebei Province, 200 kilometers southeast of Beijing. It is very famous in the cross-country circle, and there are many difficult paths in Laozhanggou that can be used to practice driving. Mountains overlap and valleys crisscross here. There is a stream in the middle, and there are many springs beside it. The stream here is not very deep, so let your car hang on a four-wheel drive for a "fast crossing", go upstream and feel the fun of driving against the current! The valley is full of gravel and quicksand, and the garage is like a yellow dragon wearing sand.

Laozhanggou is also a good place for camping by car. During the day, you can experience speed and passion in the valley. In the evening, you can camp and have a picnic here and enjoy the width of the tent!

Beijing Laozhanggou self-driving route: Scheme 1: Start from Beijing downtown, take G6 (Beijing-Tibet Expressway), and then continue westbound (about 80km) to Shachengkou Expressway. When you get off Shacheng Expressway, take the provincial highway 24 1, then take the provincial highway 24 1, and pass Chicheng to Xiaochang (about 150 km). After that, drive south from Xiaochang to X404 Road to Fengyuandian, and arrive at Laozhanggou after 25 kilometers.

It is like a dragon, entrenched in the top of the mountain, winding and undulating, stretching for more than 100 kilometers. It is connected with the blue sky and echoes with the white clouds. Walking on the Heavenly Road is like walking in the clouds, hence the name "Heavenly Road", which is also one of the top ten most beautiful roads in Chinese mainland. This is the edge of Xilin Gol prairie, with an average elevation of 1400 meters and an average annual temperature of only 4 degrees Celsius. Known as "the thirteen provinces in the world can't be colder than Huashuling". Self-driving route of Grassland Road: Scheme 1: Get off at Zhangbei South Toll Station of Zhangshi Expressway, go straight over the South Overpass, turn right into 207 national highway to Houjingbaozi Village of Zhangbei Town, and turn Zhangxia Line to the end of Zhangxia Line to enter Grassland Road;

Scheme 2: Get off at Zhangbei South (or Zhang Beibei and Haojiaying) Toll Station of Zhangshi Expressway, then wash the line and go to Xiaoertai Town (visit Senadu Manor and Lido Resort), and then transfer to Xiaoertai Town to Bailibatou Road. Hondak

Hundake Sandy Land is one of the top ten deserts in China and a famous water desert in China. Located at the southern end of Xilin Gol grassland in central Inner Mongolia, it is the nearest sand source to Beijing with a linear distance of 180 km.

Hundake is not only called "Garden Desert" because of its rich aquatic plants, peculiar landscapes and beautiful scenery, but also a paradise for cross-country and camping enthusiasts. Students with certain cross-country experience can show their skills here, and of course experts are not a problem. Having said that, we should pay attention to safety and not take risks easily. Although there is no danger of collision or death, rollover will still happen if it is not handled properly.

Self-driving route of Shandake: Beijing-Tibet Expressway-Danla Expressway-Zhangshi Expressway-Zhangjiakou-Zhangbei-Changbao-Taibus Banner-Zhenglan Banner-Start to cross the next road-Darnao Lake-Hexigten Banner-Reshui Town-Hexigten Banner-Wulan Foreign Land-Hongshan Military Racecourse-Fengning-Labagoumen-Huairou-Jingcheng Expressway.

Characteristics of the route: This route can experience the ultimate off-road interest, and it will cross off-road areas such as mountains, sand roads, grassland hills and deserts. Driving level: cross-country fever level, crossing Hunshandake desert is enough cross-country.

Cross-country road conditions: hills, sandy land, swamps and hills are bumpy, and some places have grassland ruts. In the meantime, there will be self-cleaning.

Friendly reminder: this line is very long and needs a lot of cars to cooperate. You also need a four-wheel drive off-road vehicle with trailer hooks at the front and rear. Carry a strong tow rope, shovel, sand table and emergency repair tools.

Second, the road to grassland

Youzhou Gorge, also known as Guanting Gorge and Yongding River Gorge, is the upper reaches of Yongding River. The section from Guanting Reservoir Dam to Yanhe City is the essence of Yongding River Canyon. Yongding River, like a black dragon, rushes through the mountains, where is the real valley. Cliffs stand on both sides of the canyon, and the mountain is made of limestone, which is deeply weathered. The only difference from the famous mystery of Sanjiang in Yunnan is that the mountains on both sides of Yongding River are dry and the vegetation is sparse, but the scenery is equally magnificent.

There is a path along Yongding River, which is not marked on the map and is also a route that cross-country enthusiasts often cross. There is only one gravel road as wide as a car. Generally, there are only three rounds of local agricultural transportation. The road surface is potholed and there are many shrubs on both sides of the road, which makes it easy to scratch the car paint. Driving in this section requires certain off-road skills, preferably off-road vehicles. If it is a car, you should pay more attention. Drive carefully to avoid dragging your feet. It is best to organize a team to act collectively.

For camping enthusiasts, Guanting Reservoir in the upper reaches of Yongding River often opens its floodgates regularly, so don't camp on the beach. When you rest on the beach, you should pay.

Self-driving route of Youzhou Gorge: Overview of Beijing-Youzhou Gorge route: Jingcheng Expressway exit, expressway exit. Go through Xiaonan New Town and Mo Tian to Guanting Reservoir Dam. After the dam, turn left on the narrow dirt road, cross a small intersection and enter the Yongding River Canyon. Along the way, through the old village, Youzhou to Yanhe City, and back to the asphalt road. Take the main road to Zhaitang and return to Beijing via National Road 109.

Features of the route: Yongding River Canyon runs along Bincheng, with narrow roads, potholes and thorns on both sides.

Three. Youzhou gorge

Kubuqi Desert is the seventh largest desert in China. Kubuqi' is Mongolian, which means the string on the bow. Because it is under the Yellow River, it looks like a string hanging on the Yellow River, hence the name. The endless desert is the closest desert to Beijing, with a total area of about 654.38+0.45 million hectares, and mobile sand dunes account for about 665.438+0%. It is 400km long, 50km wide and10-60m high. Like a Huanglong, it spans the northern part of Ordos Plateau and the three banners in Inner Mongolia. Morphological dune chains and lattice dunes are dominant.

The most representative section is located between Yemingsha and Qixing Lake, so most people will choose this section as a crossing route and choose a suitable campsite on this route.

Kuchi self-driving route: Scheme 1: Shenguang Xiangsha Tourist Area passes through Chagan Aobao, Xingnaer Temple, Bodhi Jidu Temple, Tiegailiang and Haoqingzhao to Xilang Highway, with a total length of 225 kilometers, including desert section 103 kilometers, which is suitable for motor vehicle self-driving camping and desert cross-country race.

Scheme 2: The total length from Shenguang Xiangsha Tourist Area to Yemingsha Tourist Area to Bodhi Jidu Temple is 39 kilometers, and the estimated time is 1 to 3 days. This journey is 5 kilometers away from Dasha, along the edge of Kubuqi Desert. The terrain is relatively flat, and there are herdsmen living in some places along the way. During the crossing, you can visit the herdsmen's home, experience the local folk customs and taste the special folk food. You can go to Bodhi Jidu Temple to worship and find a suitable place to camp along the way.

Scheme 3: The total length from Shenguang Xiangsha Tourist Area to the ruins of the ancient city in Shuofang County is 50 kilometers, and the estimated time is two to three days. The distance of Dasha section is 8km, and the rest distance belongs to Pingsha. There are some desert plants along the way. This route is suitable for cross-country crossing and self-driving camping.

Scheme 4: Shenguang Xiangsha Tourist Area to Shilazhao Temple, with a total length of 8 kilometers, is expected to take one day. This trip is short, but you can fully enjoy the stimulation of the super-large sand section and the large sand section in the desert. There are many desert plants around, and you can visit the Yinsha Belt, Zhahan Road Map, East Avenue Map, Avenue Map and other landscapes.
