Is Guangzhou or Guangdong?

Sui is the abbreviation of Guangzhou.

Guangzhou is abbreviated as "Sui" because of the legend of "Five Immortals riding sheep and giving ears of rice". Legend has it that there are five immortals, wearing colorful clothes, riding five-color sheep, holding a six-tasseled stem of fine rice. Rice seeds came to "Chu Ting", gave the ears of rice to the local people, and wished that there would never be famine here.

After finishing speaking, the five immortals flew away in the sky, and the five sheep turned into stones. In order to commemorate the five immortals, the local people built a Five Immortals Temple. It is said that the Five Immortals Temple is where the "Chu Ting" is located. Therefore, Guangzhou is also known as "Yangcheng" and "Suicheng". Because Guangzhou is nicknamed "Suicheng", it is also referred to as "Suicheng".
