Zhouzhuang is a small town in the south of the Yangtze River. It is known as "China's No. 1 Water Town" and is one of the first batch of 5A-level scenic spots in the country. Zhouzhuang was first built in 1086 (the first year of Yuanyou in the Northern Song Dynasty). It was named after Mr. Zhou Digong, a native of the city, donated land to build Quanfu Temple. In the Spring and Autumn Period, it was a fiefdom owned by King Wu Shaozi Yao, named Zhenfengli. Zhouzhuang is located in Kunshan City, Suzhou. It is one of the six ancient towns in the south of the Yangtze River and was rated as a famous historical and cultural town in China in 2003. Zhouzhuang has a long history and is a typical Jiangnan water town with unique cultural landscape. It is a treasure of Chinese water town culture and Wudi and Han culture.
